Everyone at this gem of a restaurant does an excellent job with the meals, service, and gift shop. During our recent time in French Polynesia we visited Fish & Blue twice and both times were impressed with the decor, food and everyone involved. They prepare tuna in a variety of delicious ways. They are attentive to every need and so professional . The bathroom is a work of art so make sure you visit. The woman who runs the gift shop and I assume owns the restaurant is elegant and charming. Our visits to Fish & Blue were highlights of our trip to French Polynesia.

Situé à Haamene, dans la plus grande baie de Polynésie. Salle et terrasse en bord de lagon. Gastronomie française aux saveurs polynésiennes. Located in Haamene, in the largest bay of Polynesia. Room and terrace on the lagoon. French gastronomy with Polyne
We decided to have lunch here as it was recommended to us by a few locals. The restaurant is on the water and a quaint, clean place. My husband had the seared tuna and I had the shrimp with honey sauce. Both dishes were excellent. The owner, Bruno, came over to see if all was well and we ended up chatting. We will definitely go back

The hospitality is awesome. You are greeted with a delicious fruit based drink and they have a bar set up if you would like other beverages. Red and white wine and water are on your table. The musicians play while guests arrive. Take your picture with them. They speak in both English and French when they tell some of the history of the islands. All the food is cooked in the ground the traditional way, and guests are invited to help uncover it. The meal is buffet style and is followed by dancing and guests can participate later in the program if they choose. The fire show is beyond fabulous and I found myself holding my breath though some parts. This place is very non commercialized and right on the beach which in and of itself is unique and special. The servers and performers are local residents and they do a great job proving you with a home spun cultural experience. You need to want to eat and try new foods to appreciate the full experience. our only issue was that they were running low on food and didn't replace it timely, so many in the buffet line took less to leave some for those till waiting in line, and one member of our group left the line to tell them we were out of food. They refilled some of the baskets but not all, so we all didn't get to try all of the food. Ironically, they ran out of the white rice and didn't have any more to give us. If it wasn't for that one isuue I would have gien them 5 stars.
