only soup was ok but the dunplings that they claim have inside this bryndza regional cheese - is far from being good. also the dumplings inside the regional soup were without any taste.it seems they do not know how to use the spices!!! and reading the polish comments on tripadv a lot of people say this. guys - do something about it!!!

Nice place, good food, I ate a pizza, it was really huge (40/60 cm!) and tasty. The only drawback is the inability to pay by card.

Visited with the family as this restaurant was recommended by a friend. We have been advised to book in advance as the place gets busy in the evening. When we arrived we were greeted by a waitress and she was more than helpful to sort the sitting for us (there was 5 of us but we only booked for 4). The decor was pretty impressive so we assumed the service and most importantly - food, will be 5*.... Placed an order for food but 3 of our choices were sold out.(what a shame..) I have ordered a veal burger in the end that supposed to come with crisp potatoes but they have run out to so I was offered.. Chips. For pudding I have opted for chocolate cake which, if it come with cream or ice cream, would have been quite nice. Unfortunately I found it too dry on its own. Overall the food was very average. I expected more. Prices were affordable but I would be willing to pay more and have better standard of the food. I do hope it was a one off so I hope to visit again as place itself was very nice with polite and helpful staff.

If I am in Szczawnica, Bacowka is one od my favorite places I use to visit repeatedly and is worth it. Nice, tasty food, stylish interior, always warm, and nice stuff. And their speciality, lamb, is extra delicious. They might be full and busy, but if you pay them a visit and you don't need to wait to be seated, you shouldn't be sorry.Fajna restauracja, lubje ja. Warto zobaczic. Thank You very much for a nice words:)
OK. to be honest the food in general is average but good enough to beat the hunger after the whole day of snowboarding or skiing. The apple pie is a different story - it is really great! Traditional Polish pie with the best Polish apples. Perfect way to round up the meal.
