Bormla (0therwise known as Cospicua) is probably the least well-known of the Three Cities. We often stay in Birgu, but this was the first time that we had wandered a little further down the road and discovered a great little restaurant. The Cafe San Giorgio is set in a rather unexpected location, and you could easily pass it by thinking that it was simply a local bar or cafe. Actually, it is a really good Italian restaurant (serving Roman cuisine I think) with a patron who actually cooks hos own food, and a very friendly staff. This is a small restaurant, with inside seating for not many more than 20 people at 7 or eight tables - and further seating in the small square outside. The food is simple and straightforward, but of excellent quality. We ate there twice. The pasta (all freshly made and cooked when ordered) was really good, and the desserts were irresistible (especially the canole). On both occasions I had a glass of local red wine, and this also proved to be a good choice. Malta seems a little more expensive than it was - maybe the result of of poor exchange rate between the pound and the euro - and eating out can be a major addition to your budget. But this restaurant was really good value - two courses, with coffee and a glass of wine came to around 40 euros. On our first visit there was a bit of a delay with our main course - they ran out of the ravioli and had to make more. The chef patron came out to apologize personally for the delay (not that it mattered, because the meal was worth waiting for). We returrned two days later and had an equally good experience. The charming girl who was waiting table remembered us, and even anticipated our dessert order - correctly! This was a really friendly and pleasant experience, and I would not hesitate in recommending San Giorgio if you find yourself in this part of the Three Cities.

The chain makes really good pizza, but for sure that this one has the worst service in Malta. The pizzas always come wrong, we call making the order and still have to wait so they can make another pizza... Awful! The worst service Iâve seen. We never going to eat there againPlease accept our apologies for the above. Would you be so kind as to get in touch with us directly in [email protected] (attention Skyparks) to give us more details as we would like to look into this further to make sure it does not happen again. Our sincere apologies once again.Martin

Sotto pizzeria italiana, rising up a72 hours, a mixture of selected 4 flour to eat the real Roman pizza. Sotto pizzeria italianaSouth Street in Valletta, 32.
We visited late in the evening with our teenage children having carried out a quick internet search. We were not disappointed! We hadn't booked and it was a very busy evening. Despite that, we were asked if we wouldn't mind waiting approx 10-15 mins,we sat at the bar and enjoyed a relaxing drink before being seated.Angelo and his team were courteous and attentive throughout. All the pizzas(a Marinara, Carbonara, Diavolo and Mozzarella) were flavoursome and delicious. Highly recommend this little gem for the discerning pizza fan.

A real 100% Italian Taste in Valletta. In our little take away you will find Fresh Pasta with only original Italian recipe and the only Pan Pizza Slice of Valletta. Music, smiles and very good food 100% italian.
Value for money pizza. It's a good choice for take away Italian food. The employees were very kind and helpful. Pizzas were very fresh, but the taste was just ok. Thanks for your review Jorge.

Visited this place on a saturday evening and it was packed and very busy, nonetheless we did not wait much for our food which was perfect. My partner had pasta with lobster sauce which tasted divine and i had salmon which was fine too, as a side dish they served us some cabbage tossed in cream and ham which tasted delicious and they also gave us 2 different types of potato (chips and roast potatoes). It was a great evening and will definately return.

The food is good, however their attitude towards customers leaves room for A LOT of improvement. One good example of this: their opening hours - never count on the fact that they will have the kitchen open within the hours (for lunch or dinner) mentioned on-line. It really is a gamble whether or not they feel like opening the kitchen and for this âpriviledgeâ you have to drive all the way to the south of the island. In many cases there are much better options out there, rather than taking the gamble to see if they are in a good mood that day.Hi SirWould like first of all to thank you for pointing out that we do serve good food, regarding our opening hours i would like to know when you came to the restaurant during opening hours and the kitchen was closed so that as the owner of the restaurant i would be able to look into the matter. Please note that Only Kitchen is open for lunch from Tuesday to Friday. Saturday to Monday and Public holidays Pizzeria is open also for lunch from 12.30 to 15.00Looking forward to hearing from [email protected] RegardsHerbert Gatt

A Restaurant with a cheerful ambience, and the waiters always help you out on the menu. The food is genuine and the service is second to none. The portions were also generous, and the steak is juicy and prepared perfectly. The Pasta as well is al dente as it should be. Pizza is another strong link of this dining experience. Worth all the money paid and never let down after 9 visits. The reason why it scores high in this review, is because a constant excellent food and service throughout the meals I have eaten in this restaurant. A visit is a must if you are in Marsascala area and you are hungry enough to eat a decent sized tasty meal. Highly Recommended
