Bar is a good spot for a drink and snackLocanda restaurant has been renovated with an increase in table numbers.A bit congested at breakfast buffet near toaster and bar area where tea and coffee is self serve.Restaurant was great after renovations but the standard has dropped that appears to be due to cost cutting.Perhaps Rydges accountants should be customers and see what you get for your money.Unfortunately Event Hotels /Rydges Hotels seems to have had a standard drop in generalThanks for the review Dave. We're glad you like the new renovations. Little perplexed by your insights though. Our seating numbers in Locanda have actually dropped, we've increased the number of dishes on the breakfast buffet by about 20% (no price change), the average main course price has dropped and we have more Chef's and staff on then ever before. So far we've actually done quite well to keep the accountants at bay!Unfortunately there wasn't much we could do with the buffet. There's always been a bit of congestion, particularly round the toaster but we bought new ones and they don't come any faster!Cheers,Rob

We read the Brilliant TA reviews and eventually found the 11 minute down a side street off Little Collins St. Itâs a rapid service there hence the title so fortunately tables come available quickly. The salami pizza and prawn salad that we chose were amazing along with the lovely Cabinet offering. Great service from Londoner Ali which was a delight. Do not miss this fantastic pizzeria, fab value at a great price.

10 of us had team dinner at this place. Located in busy CBD location, this place offer good food, good service and overall good experience. I tried the calamari that was great, the fussioloni that was ok, the buffalo side salad that was great and the tiramisu that was great. Service was good, good wine selection and all in all we had good time.

Read reviews re this place and was looking forward to trying it out. Website advertised quick lunch menu. Ham cheese tomato sandwich toasted was doughy, totally unimaginative. Sweet potato fries soft and gooey.Pizza burned. Calamari about 10 pieces and the rest was rocket.A truly awful experience Never againI am in disbelieve reading this review, at least be true to yourself and tell the truth to the public. Our place that has won various accolades 2017,2018 & 2019 certificate of excellence Herald Sun awards for the quality of food, surely we could get 3/4 or even 2/4 but all seem in disbelieve.First of all we have been out of stock of sweet potatoes for over a month.Second you didn't order the Calamari, Pizza or Toastie as we are well known for that as its cooked in the wood fired. We are a family restaurant and both my wife and I served your table and when the meals were cleared, the plates were empty. The truth is that your table ordered 4 meals of our express lunch menu which non of the meals mentioned were on,with each meal having a variation to it and all adding 4 separate sides to which your were charged an extra $2.50 each, a total of $10 to your bill. When you saw the bill is when you complained about the food in the hope of getting a refund, such a low blow on your behalf to tarnish a 5 star rating establishment.I will leave it to the public to judge the truthiness of your review.

Looking for a new Italian in the city we went here based on Trip Advisor's positive reviews.Good looking room that is deceiving from the outside. Light wood and well spaced tables made it a comfortable space.Ordered Rocket & pear salad, Salmon Caserecce pasta and Salumi pizza. Salad and pizza were excellent and good portions. Quality ingredients on all. The pizza base was just right and stayed crispy in the middle unlike many wood fired pizzas were you end up with a soggy middle. My partner enjoyed the Caserecce but found the portion size a bit small commenting that I would still be hungry had I ordered it. Had a good Valpolicella Ripasso to go with it. $130 for the meal with wine being half of the bill.Service was excellent - prompt, friendly, not pretentious or hovering.Worth noting the pasta prices at Da Guido 365 are less than their location in Lygon street.Open for lunch and dinner but closed from 3-6 in the afternoon.Very much enjoyed this meal and will be back ourselves and with friends.
