Things to do in Winona
Several years ago, after several bad experiences, we gave up on the Winona Pizza Hut. Happily, we decided to give it another try and were pleasantly surprised. Good service, great pizza, and reasonable prices. We had a hand-tossed Hawaiian Pizza, with plenty of ham, pineapple and cheese; and a thin crust meat-lover's that actually had lots of meat and just the right amount of tomato sauce. Good experience, so we'll come back again.

Some pizza places have ups and downs: sometimes great, sometimes not so great. The Domino's in Winona is consistently good pizza, and fast. Not the best in town, but very good, and if you use a coupon or special advertised deal, the price is good.
We enjoyed the pepperoni, cheese, and sausage pizza at a large holiday gathering. The pizza crust was neither too thick or too thin, about a medium. The toppings were plentiful and the taste was great! For just $5.00 per pizza, each was enough for 2 - 3 adults. There is always a short wait, but definitely worth it for the cost!

The variety of standard pizzas on the menu is awesome. Unique tastes as well as your standard styles. A little pricey, but if you go the specialty route, it's worth it.

A good fresh pizza in a mom and pop pizza place that only serves pizza. Previous reviews about service...friendly staff, but don't expect to be waited on like most restaurants. The place was busy with families and people of all ages. The prices were very reasonable. Worth a try.

Starting out with the positive, the waitress was very friendly, quick & helpful. For a college bar, the tap beers seemed a bit pricey, but not totally out of line. The gyro we had was good and the waffle fries were very tasty (though not many). What I did not care for were the boneless wings - they were breaded like mcnuggets and then drenched in whichever sauce you chose. The sauces were good, but the chicken was not - in my opinion the breading on them ruined the flavor. Also, for it being only half full, the acoustics were terrible - it was difficult to talk across the table without practically shouting.

Wellington's is becoming our favorite place in Winona. Tap beers are big and cold. Service is good. Burgers are excellent, etc. It's not fancy, but it is comfortable and you leave satisfied and happy. Great tater tots and cheese curds.Thank you for dining with us again, Tgrier. Waiting for my takeout order, I was surprised to see that they used sliced mozzarella cheese. The cook simply said to me, "we've been doing it this way for 61 years". Well, I guess they know what they are doing because the cheese was wonderfully chewy. We really enjoyed the pizza and would definitely get it again. Based on how busy it was, clearly, the town of Winona thinks pretty highly of this place.

Always Good Burgers. I know they're famous for pizza and Italian pastas... but I like the burgers and fries. Western Mill Burger is always good, with delicious barbecue sauce and bacon. Also had coconut chicken fingers for appetizer, that was iso big it could have been a meal on its own. This time we tried the new Chicken Nachos, and they were excellent also.Hi there, thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review! We're glad to hear you find there's something for everyone on our menu, and that you were able to try so many dishes. Hope to have you back again soon!

I ordered thin crust pizza from Roccos East from the Holiday Inn Express. They told me that it would take 45 minutes to one hour to get the pizza, but it only took them half an hour. They even delivered the pizza to our room. It was very cheesy and baked to perfection. There is a Green Mill Pizza right in front of the hotel, and they have Chicago style deep dish pizza, and we had eaten their pizza many times in the past. Most of the time it was delicious, but about 25% of the time the bottom was burnt, so we decided to try a new place. We were not disappointed. The only issue I would bring up is that the delivery guy didn't bring us plates, so, if you are ordering from a hotel, make sure to order plates and napkins. Other than that, it was a hot (not warm, like others) and delicious pizza.
