You cannot miss going to Benson's when you're in north central Minnesota. They have the best pizza around. This trip we made it to Benson's twice. We highly recommend the Minnesota Island but we have had several types of pizzas and they are all good. See you next year Bensons!

Like to visit this place for the pizza and the ice cream. Try the Kitchen Sink. Wait staff usually pleasant and helpful but ran into a grumpy server last time who announced that people sitting outside had to "announce" their presence inside. Never happened before.

We stopped by for lunch and ordered a Reuben sandwich $8 and bowl of chili $5. The Reuben was on beautiful oversized dark rye - so the sandwich was significantly larger than expected and the taste was equally fabulous! Served with homemade potato chips, yum, and a perfect sour kosher pickle. We also opted for side slaw and it was as good as KFC. Chili very delicious also in oversized crock. Again almost double what would be expected. We were so impressed by the value and deliciousness, we went back for supper. And we weren't disappointed: split a side Caesar salad and split a bacon cheeseburger $9 - BEWARE: the burgers are a full 9 ounces of mouthwatering excellence. Toasted bun, all the fixings. The burger would have come with slaw but we were able to substitute the Caesar salad.
Bluewater Lodge Restaurant Located off of the Paul Bunyan snowmobile trail and have docking available for your boat visits. Open every day from 11:30am - 9:00pm. We feature a full bar, happy hour, and seasonal specials.
Been here twice now. It's a small little bar/restaurant that's part of the Bluewater Lodge Resort. Had the Rachel the first time I was in and shared app platters the second time. A little heavy on fried foods, but the Rachel was good! The really great part is that they have local beer on tap which is the reason I stopped in the first place. The second reason is, it's close to home and FAR better than the joint near the casino. Then menu is small and I'd like to see a couple healthier options, but maybe in time. :) I'll be back for sure. It would be great to boat in, I'm not sure if that's any option they have or not.
