It is a must visit place in Jelsa. Breathtaking view, excellent food (especially the fish and the seafood), good atmosphere and a fast, friendly and professional service there. If you visit Jelsa, Va Bene is where you should eat. Maximum recommendation!

Nauta Restaurant is open for dinner from 18:00 to 24:00. Official opening - 01.06 For lunch 01.07.to01.09.from 12:00 to 14:30
Went to Nauta last night for dinner, and we loved it! For starters, we had the Nauta plate (excellent pršut), and after that, I ate the meat platter, and my partner grilled sea bass. Both were really good, the portions were big enough (actually so big that I couldn't finish mine - and I can usually eat quite a lot!), and the food arrived quite fast. Also, the young man who was serving us was super nice and polite, kudos for the service. As a cherry on top, we got some travarica on the house in the end. The ambient of the restaurant is also super nice and cozy. We'll definitely come back!

Food was very reasonably priced and served on the terrace overlooking the harbour. My wife had a beatifully cooked and presented seabass fillet with grilled veg, I had what may appear boring but was really generous and tasty - a chicken salad but with chips! With beer and wine, the whole lot came to less than £35. Shame that some local boat crew had decided to come here and harass the staff.

We tried pasta. That was very tasty, they cook pasta al dente and that is very rare in restaurants in tourist destination (usually they overcooked 'cos they have full restaurant). We were very pleased with food and service.Very recommended. Didn't took any photo 'cos I was hungry :-)Update:We went again, I took the same meal, get same taste and same quality and you know how hard is to get that.DearAppreciate and hope to see you againbest regardsSpizza Managment

Dear guests, the history of tourism and hospitality in the Barbic family dates back to 1972 when our grandparents, Kristo and Vinka Barbic, welcomed their first tourists. After them our parents Davor and Vilma Barbic cherished tradition of this work for m
Myself and five friends were brought here for lunch during a day boat trip.It was the best meal we had in a weeks holiday in Croatia. We had a shared starter plate of meat and cheeses, it was lovely and fresh. We then all had the pasta with truffle sauce which was divine.Service was friendly and efficient. If I am ever back in Hvar I will return.

The restaurant is in old part of Jelsa, near the small church.
Had dinner on a courtyard on a very warm evening. There was some fresh air, service was very professional, except for a student who was charming doing his best, and most imporatnt we had an excellent pizza dinner. Cannot judge for the other offerign which was very traditional, but my son wanted a pizza after a few days of sailing, and they were excellent. We will definitely come back if in Jelsa. You need to find the place, a little back from the most obvious restaurants, but this was not my first time in Jelsa when sailing, and the best experience up to now. Worth to look for it, near the small church.

We visited this restaurant last year on recommendation and were so impressed that we couldnât wait to return. Yesterday was the first day of our summer holiday and we drove from Hvar just to dine here. The food, fantastic (again). We ordered a cold Dalmatian plate starter (20â¬), with fresh sea delicacies - tuna, swordfish, octopus... and were shocked with the big portion and tastefulness, we kept silent and smiling the whole time of enjoying it. For the main we order their in-house specialty, home made pasta cooked with black cuttlefish ink with sea shells, mind blowing. And for the wine, we always go for local âopenâ white as we like fresh wine and learned some time ago, that in good Dalmatian restaurants they will always have a good stock from a small local winemaker. They also serve pizzas, which to some might not fit well with a good seafood restaurant but, as we got free pizza bread on the side, i can tell they are delicious as well. Itâs on our list this week as well :)And lastly, the service, which i read is not good in may places here lately, i give high grade as well. You can see immediately this is a family ran restaurant and also the waiters seem to be local. Everyone has a smile on and you really feel welcome. This is our favorite on the island and as we come to Hvar every year, it will remain our âMust stopâ, couple of times :)
