Things to do in Tarnow
Formerly called 'F1 Pub', it also serves some basic Polish food such as the classic zapiekanka. My wife and I have visited three times over the years and it never seems busy although does appear to have a healthy delivery side of the business. The most recent visit was a late night one in a large group and we ordered their biggest pizza with the most toppings. It was great although took some time to arrive due to being prepared from scratch which is no bad thing! We were a group of seven and worthy of note was the service as we were well looked after by staff.Grand Prix Pizzeria is situated in a basement - this wasn't an issue on our last visit when on a night out with mates, but if it was just the wife and I, we'd probably choose one of the many others on ground level with windows.None-the-less, the decor is fitting to the theme with an entire wall covered in an image of Polish former F1 driver Robert Kubica at the wheel of his BMW F1 car, the toilets are well appointed and there's a good selection of Polish beers.Despite it's basement location, we will return and recommend. The only reason why Grand Prix Pizzeria is awarded four TripAdvisor 'blobs' rather than five is because the pizza market in Tarnow is saturated and I'm looking for a pizzeria which really stands out from the competition.Grand Prix Pizzeria would have been awarded three TripAdvisor 'blobs' as most pizzerias really are just average, however it earns four based on:- freshly prepared pizzas- well themed restaurant (although could go further on the F1 theme)- well appointed and maintained toilets
As pizzas são finas e recheadas na medida certa. foi maravilhoso comer pizza no friozinho de maio. O pessoal do Avanti é muito simpático e conversou com agente o tempo todo. Os preços são justos e de cortesia ganhamos um refrigerante. O pessoal sabe cativar o cliente. Recomendo.

We ate twice here while in Tarnow for two nights. The food was very good, as was the service. They serve wine by the carafe which is not common in Poland. We had the Caesar and Greek salads to start, and then the pasta and pizza, all of which was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone while in Tarnow.
Je conseille vivement. Pizza très bonne. Petite terasse très agréable. Pas bruyant. Repas de famille ou entre amis c'est un bon endroit pour passer le temps

I like the Sushi of Jani Sushi. You can directly see the Sushi-men preparing your sushi. After watching you can enjoy your sushi with japanese beer. If you have company, which does not like sushi. They have also a pizza oven in the same place. I like it, when I am in town.

We love eating at small family run restaurants, and this is the perfect place to exercise that preference. The food is very good, and the husband/wife team that owns the place an absolute delight. We tried pasta one day, two varieties of small pizzas another, and everything was excellent. The prices are reasonable. There are only a few outside tables, a couple more inside if the weather leaves you no alternative, but the place is kind of out of the way so you should have no trouble getting seating. Highly recommended.

I've visited three pizzerias in Tarnów, the first in 2007 which I didn't review on TripAdvisor, the second was 'F1 Pub' now called 'Grand Prix Pizzeria'. Rycerska seems better than most in town. Walking in you are greeted with the sight of a pizza preparation area including the stone pizza oven which sets the tone and creates a great environment. While the typical Polish 'hunters' theme and decor may not mix with a pizzeria or Italian cuisine, it does create a pleasant atmosphere in which to dine.Spicy food isn't commonly found in Poland so it was great to find a pepperoni and jalapeno pizza, one of two different pizzas we ordered. They also have a hot, spicy sauce which went down well with our large group too. We won't deny we came late, but there were some very obvious hints at trying to get us to leave once we had devoured our pizzas. For this, one TripAdvisor 'blob' is lost for service but this didn't impact on the overall experience which was excellent.Rycerska is more than just a pizzeria however as they do serve some Polish cuisine and also have a childrens' menu.Unless we find a better pizzeria in Tarnów, we declare this the best... For now...Would return and strongly recommend.

The restaurant is quite small but cosy. Lovely food - reasonably priced. Waitresses were very patient with kids running around. Tables with benches are mainly for groups of 4, there is one table for about 8 people and 2 small tables for 2 near the entrance. You need to go downstairs to get to the toilet and there is no lift for disabled or elderly people who would like to dine there which is a shame. I could not take my dad who is a wheelchair user for a meal there. Apart from that, it is a lovely restaurant serving very nice food and nice Polish beers!
