La Candela specialises in providing "Almuerzo" the fixed lunch menu from Mionday to Saturday. For 20Bs you can get a nice filling lunch - salad, soup, main, and desert. They are also happy to cater for your choice of the main even if it is not on the set menu for the day. Service by the owners is great.

The cosy restaurant is warm and welcoming. The owner meets and greets every guest and makes them feel at home. Service was fast and every meal was perfect. He learned to cook Italy and when you take a bite of his pizza it really takes you there. Everyone that visits tarija, has to try his homemade tiramisu and pizzas. They open late and are a small restaurant. They are also open for a well priced lunch/almuerzo (at this point of time). We go at least once a week.

Friends took us to Pizza Pazza Macondo on a Friday night. We arrived at 11pm. There was a lovely young brother/sister team playing. Edith, the proprietor, got us up and dancing immediately. Our friends urged us to join them dancing on the tabletop. That's right. We enjoyed great pizza, great music, and lots of dancing. I can tell you that the locals get started around 2am. So, have a good siesta before having a good time in Tarija.
