In my last review, I said we wouldn't go back given the number of restaurants on Staten Island that are clearly superior. However, I was invited by a close cousin to join them, so we went. We had some Pizza-average at best. For dessert, we had Tartuffo-Very Good, and Expresso-Good. The best of the evening was being with the family, which is always 5 Stars. The food at best was a 3. Setting was comfortable, and Service was Very Good.

My daughter found this place as a good choice to consider after leaving the Staten Island ferry and before our return to Manhattan --- I loved my pesto, my wife was very happy with her tuna and all nine of us (!) did well. We were six adults and three kids seated in adjacent booths -- it worked! Also loved the artwork on the walls!

Review limited to one slice of plain pizza. Sorry to say just average, crust nice and crispy but sauce/cheese taste very bland. Restaurant very clean and counter help fine.

You can't bet the specials at Nucci's South. We went on a Thursday night and it was a 2 for one dinner special. The choices were very good. Ed the bartender knows how to make a mean Manhattan. Wonderful local gem.

Headed to St George theater wanted a place close by. The owner made room for us at the bar when we got there as there was no tables available. We didn't have to wait for long for a table. We enjoyed a very unique cup of spaghetti squash soup, so fresh tasting. The four of us all ordered the same thing, lame but it was so different and intrigued us all. So we all say get the fiocchi and pear pasta. After we had ordered the waitress said her family gets this as an appetizer and shares the dish, as it is quite rich. Great idea. Are only complaint was only 2 craft beers and 1 ran out while we were there.

We dined at Deninoâs last night and had a great time. They have greatly expanded the menu. We didnât order any, but there are plenty of appetizers and salads to select now. We had our standard pie with half sausage. It was delicious! I tried their cheesecake which was excellent as was the espresso.

Went to Leeâs for the first time this past Saturday for lunch. It was everything I expected and more. A classic neighborhood tavern. Dark, small and friendly. And the food was good too! I ordered a pizza with pepperoni and my giant had the pie with ricotta cheese and broccoli. Both were amazing. Thin crust and crispy. Sauce was perfect. I donât live close but if Iâm ever in the area I would make a point of stopping in again.
