Things to do in Stadtlohn

We ordered a couple of pizzas and a pasta and all was quite average. Nothing special in the food.We asked for the check like 4 times and it took more that 30 min to get this and finally pay to go.

Firstly it took over an hour before we got our first course (of small salad and soup) there was no apology. I love just tomatoes and salad with a good dressing so ordered that. The salad turned out to be bitter red radachio and bitter lettuce with 6 quarters of rock hard tasteless cheap tomatoes arranged around the outside of the plate, even the olive oil was bitter and nasty. 45 minutes after that, my mixed fish arrived (â¬18.50) it consisted of a slab of salmon, a tiny sliver of white fish and one overcooked, tasteless prawn. To accompany this delight was a spoonful of diced potates, burnt on one side and white on the other. If there was an Italian in that kitchen, he/she should be ashamed. The 2 course meal for 2 with wine was â¬82.00. Never again.

In the centre we couldn't find any other restaurant to eat so we ended up here, there are 4 small tables inside, there is a courtyard outside which I think would be lovely in the summer but in March its not a good place. It was the normal pizza selection, I went for the Pizza Ciao Ciao which basically seemed to have everything on it except any tomato sauce, this made the pizza rather dry.Overall it wasn't anything special, pizza was OK, not bad but not brilliant.

I visited here at lunchtime on a business trip to Stadtlohn. I was with a party of 8 people. The restaurant was very busy, there was a set menu of pizza and pasta and I chose the prawn pizza. I asked for it to be served with added chilli but it was a disappointment that they did not seem to have this ingredient here.......I did not speak enough German to point out that they also has Penne Arabiatta on the menu which has a sauce with chilli in in. We were served promptly and the pizza was good, well cooked, with a thin and crispy base. Washed down with a beer and followed by something that just tasted like whipped double cream with added rum and sugar! All in all, a good meal at a good price in a nice setting. I would return.
