This place is nothing special, but a good place to grab a snack, something simple or a beverage. It is in a good location off the marina.

Le Tre Pietre

Our hotel suggested this restaurant as somewhere to eat fresh local fish as the owners are fishermen. The restaurant's ambiance was very casual and more like a pizzeria than anything else. On our arrival we were given a menu which only showed pizza so we asked if they had any fresh fish and they told us a few of their dishes. We asked them to bring us a mixed starter of different fish (something which almost all seafood restaurants in Italy do well) but the only thing they brought was some marinated anchiovies. For the main course we ordered swordfish (which they only brought one piece of), tiger prawns and some squid with potatoes. The swordfish was excellent (although we were later told that it is not local), the prawns were most likely frozen and the squid was a tiny portion. Needless to say my husband and I were still hungry so we ordered a pizza to share, which was excellent, and then some melon soaked in malvasia which was also very good. At the till the waitress shouted to her mother for the prices and for most dishes added several euros, for instance when talking about the swordfish her mother said the price was 10 euros so she made it 13! We paid in total 70 euros which we felt was not good value for money.Mi dispiace. Spero che la prossima volta riusciremo a fare di meglio.

Ristorante & Pizzeria U Cucunciu

I think this was the best pizza i have had in sicily after two weeks traveling around (real wood oven, which is not always the case anymore). And they had a fresh yellowtail which one of our group had grilled and it was delicious. Wonderful service as well - all in all a fantastic dining experience in Malfa.

Pizzeria da Marco

The pizzas are excellent - although it's a bit difficult to select one from the vast menu! My advice howvere would be to go there for lunch as well and try their pane cunzatu (sort of warm ciabatta filled with various ingredients). I think, they're even better than their pizzas. Pizza is served only in the evening.

RapaNui

Rapa Nui is a complex of a restaurant, a bar, a pizzeria and a beach. Everything is located in a beautiful garden and you can walk wherever you want to stay. The beach is the only address in Salina to get sunbeds and umbrellas. We went to the restaurant, but we were also able to order from the pizzeria. The restaurant has high prices, but prices in the pizzeria are normal. We took antipasti fish plate, some calamari and a pizza. The fish plate was excellent, the pizza was good and the calamari was average (to dry). All in all, a good location with some very good courses but a little bit overpriced.

This is one of the restaurants in Lingua where the excursions of Lipari and Salina stop for lunch. It's location is beside Alfredo's, which is highly recommended, but this restaurant is smaller. Apparently like all of the restaurants in this area, the owners use locally produced ingredients. All the hot dishes are done in a wood fired oven. They do not have granitas or ice cream, but you can always get these next door at Alfredo's. The view from the tables, looking out towards Panarea and Stromboli are excellent

Il Gambero

The setting is sublime, at the lighthouse-end of Lingua's pretty little promenade, with a view across to Lipari. There is parking by the lighthouse. There is an extensive menu and we had a delightful 3-course lunch for 74 euros for two, including a half-litre carafe of house white (5 euros) and a litre of sparkling water (2.50 euros). Husband had marinated anchovies then spaghetti with clams (both 15 euros), finishing with ice cream (3 euros). I had pasta shells with prawns and courgettes (12 euros) then mixed fried prawns and squid (16 euros) then a granita at 2.50 euros. All delicious and such good value.Service was excellent even though they were also coping (very well) with a couple of groups. Such friendly people, and such a surprise to us, in such an out-of-the-way place, to hear fluent Australian-accented English (they spend part of the year there).
