We stayed at an AirBnB literally two minutes from this quaint restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. Both members of the waitstaff went out of their way to ensure we were enjoying our meals. From the offered sparkling wine to recommendations for meals to the dolce, everything was perfect. We ate there three times because we loved the food and staff so much. My favorites include the wild boar ragu, grilled octopus, and zuccotto. Give this place a try it's well worth it and is a look into non touristy Florence.

Great local pizza place that is extremely friendly and welcoming. We were staying at the AC Marriott and wanted someplace in walking distance. PizzaLand was perfect. We were warmly greeted and had a wonderful time. The pizza was extraordinary...best thin crust weâve had. The toppings were delicious....too many to recall and each distinctive for flavor and freshness. Everything was perfect including the service. If you want old world, this is not your place. But If you want to have a fun dining experience and great pizza in 21st century Florence, you canât do any better than this place.Grazie TheodoreK180!!! Ci fa molto piacere ricevere i vostri apprezzamenti, vi aspettiamo presto a Firenze, evviva Pizzaland!

Food was pretty mediocre and both pasta dishes oversalted to the point of being inedible. Service from Owner and staff really quite poor. Dumb tourists stuffed into the corners but locals treated like gods. Their credit card machine failed so I got to walk for 15min to the nearest cash machine with family held hostage. No apologies and they couldn't care less their systems failed. One issue also with young lady in front of us at cashier getting short-changed. Even with quite a lot of attitude from staff, it took her a brave 4 times to insist they count out the cash and give her the extra E10 she was owed. Wouldnt return.

We we're just strolling around the neighbourhood when we stumbled across this Italian bistro. We could smell the food from outside and we just had to go in. No tourist in sight here, this really is a place where the Italian go and meet eachother. Everybody knew eachother as well. We both ordered pasta and it was perfect. Also it was very affordable, since we just came from Milano where its quite expensive. Service was great, waiter was kind and funny. Since there was no english menu he took the time to go through the menu with us. Would definitely recommend !!

Interesting pizzeria with a very diversified menu.Service is Average and the pizza is very good but I didnât find nothing really special beyond the average offer in Italy The price is definitely higher than standard pizzeria and as such I would not recommend this place

Giotto (the architect / painter) was renowned for drawing a perfect circle freehand; Marco (directly from Naples), the pizzaiolo is the true architect of the perfect Neapolitan pizza. Giotto (the restaurant) is not easy to find, slightly out of town, but if you want the best Neapolitan pizza Florence can offer, this is the place and the trip is worth every second. But remember, book a table, the place is always full - no prizes for guessing why, considering the quality of the pizza.I am definitely going back.

This restaurant is located out of downtown but if you are looking for a great meal, you should seriously consider going. It is very conveniently located in a mall that is next to the Tram T2's Sandonato station. We enjoyed our meal so much that we made a stop on the way to the airport (the T2 line goes to the airport). This is definitely a restaurant that targets the local market rather than the tourist trade so the menu was not in English but the staff were very helpful.

This place was awesome. It is enough off the beaten path that there were very few tourists. Most patrons were local families (many with kids). The pizza was phenomenal. Service was excellent (very minimal English spoken). Also cool to see the open kitchen. Best craft beer selection we saw in Florence. Specials seem to change daily, as even the locals read the chalkboard carefully.

Locale moderno e giovanile dove mangiare e bere ascoltando musica in vinile
We found Melloo while searching for a place for dinner on our first night in Florence. We were staying close at a hotel close to the river, so we needed to take a cab to get there. The owner was friendly and very helpful to us in selecting which pizza to order and in choosing a beer to go with it. And the pizza was amazing, along with the craft beer. Everything was fresh and tasty. We even topped it off with a cannoli with pistachios for dessert, and the owner was even kind enough to call a taxi for us. Thanks for a wonderful dinner!Thank you so much for your review!it was very nice to have you as a guest at melloo. When you return you will be welcome as always.
