The restaurant is nothing to look at, zero atmosphere. But the food is authentic cuisine from this area. The fresh, home made pasta is fantastic, made by certified Pieve grandmothers. The place is clean. The service is very good. The prices are very reasonable. Free half liter of wine for any American that can speak decent Piveng dialect. (joke). But you'll love the place.

The best pizza we had during our short break in the area, will be sure to return on our next trip. Thank you.
Locale ristrutturato da pochissimo, arredamento minimale ma molto comodo.Pizza molto buona, piuttosto sottile come piace a me.

Their pizza is good but not memorable. They make it very thin (tried both the "normal" and the thin/larger version), and the crust is too crusty. The anchovies were so so, the "salame piccante" nothing special (definitely not the sopressata which is the ideal on pizza). But, hey, I am Italian and had thousands of pizzas in my life, and so I had so many outstanding pizzas that it is easy to get one not as good as the best. This said, the pizza is anyway all right. Now, about the (many) GOOD things about this place. First, the prices: I could not believe my eyes when I saw the check. Six people, six pizzas, beer, water and coke, + 4 desserts. 53 euros total. WHAT? I checked, they didn't do a mistake. They really have very low prices. Second: the service: the place was not superfull but was busy, and service was fast and very friendly. A few minutes to order, a few minutes for the drinks, maybe 10 more minutes for pizza, 2 minutes to pay. Well done folks. Third, the location is not great (middle of nowhere, but this also means easy parking in the street), very much off the beaten path, but the place is very nice: spacious, high ceilings, good country decor, good lightling. Fourth: menu is mostly pizza, but they have many many types besides the usual suspects, and the beer selection, while not so large, is very good (eg they have Hoegaarden on tap among the others + some artisanal beer). Fifth: good desserts. So, overall not one of the best pizzas I had, but overall a very good deal. Worth stopping by if you are in the area. Better make a reservation if you do, and keep in mind that they do NOT take reservations on Sat-Sun, apparently because they are too busy!!

Around Bologna, the children were very hungry and we did not want to have lunch by the horrible restaurants on the Italian highways. We discovered by chance this restaurant where we were hosted like queens and kings, a very friendly staff, delicious Italian food and very affordable. At times, it is nice to adventure yourselves out of the highway and discover local cuisines. We shall definitely go back there if we are close to Bologna!Cara earifagic,vi ringraziamo per le belle parole. Siamo lieti di avervi ospitato, e speriamo di rivedervi presto!

To be honest, we stumbled on this place several years ago when looking for a good place to eat after exhibiting in Bologna and I know consider it the single best place to eat in Italy.I love Italian food, but in both my business and pleasure trips to Italy, I find it very hard to find decent food, at good value, with good service, and in a nice environment. Either you have to spend an arm and a leg, or really make up your mind to give up something in order to put some food in your stomach. This is not the case at Uva Passa. After returning three times in three years, I am always pleasantly suprised and satisfied. The food is delicious and well presented. The place is spotless and recently renovated with a more modern/cozy aura, and the staff is friendly, fast andprofessional. In particular the couple who owns the restaurant are very nice hardworking people who often take the time to come over and speak to us and ask us if we need anything more.I highly recommend visitors to Bologna to make the 20 minute drive to San Pietro in Casale to enjoy one of Northern Italy's best restaurant experiences.

I work 5 minutes walk from Punto Pizza and often go there for lunch with my colleagues, the pizza is great every time, always made with top quality ingredients and I've never had problems digesting it. The owners and staff are super friendly and the pizzas are made very quickly even if the place is full which is often is. If you're in the area try it, you won't be disappointed!
Where to eat Italian food in San Pietro in Casale: The Best Restaurants and Bars

I'm not sure how I stumbled on this restaurant, it was through trip advisor where when I scrolled (and scrolled) down the reviews all I could see were 5 star reviews in Italian and some yummy looking pictures. We went for dinner but looking at the garden it looks like it would have been gorgeous for lunch. We got lost from the airport and had the most hectic 2 hours before arriving and we were so scared the kitchen would close - we got there 10 minutes before it did and they were so accommodating they made it feel like it was 8pm. Attentive and passionate service. The food: greeted with a basket of freshly baked warm bread- beautiful. then a muse bouche of bacon bread and some cheese fondue- rich, fresh, and you could taste the quality. Then the foie gras (home made, like everything else they serve) was one of the best we ever had. It's clear that the chef is a master baker (foie gras was served with a brioche style bread). Another highlight was the violet gnocchi with prawns. The flavour of that sauce and the sweetness of the prawns combined with the gnocchi was crazy good. We also shared the duck which was the stand out for me. Normally by the time the 3rd course comes my hunger is almost gone and I'm not as inspired as the first bite. The duck with pumpkin and balsamic cherries was so good we ate it like it was our first plate! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the flavour was so generous and well studied, we were so impressed. To end I decided to have the cheese platter - super nice but again there was a homemade surprise - a 'seed' cracker? not sure what to call it but it was so clever and so well done. The Wine also very good. My only note to the owner is to rethink the decor, better more comfy chairs, and to put art that is larger and more bold on the wall. For such educated food it would be nice to see that flair translate to the environment as well. Highly recommend!
