Hands down the best pizza we've ever had by a long shot. Seems like non- locals have a bit of trouble with the ordering process, some not realising they're delivery only. We managed to order a vege pizza and friareili and sausage pizza in broken Italian with help from Google translate (it wasn't too much trouble as the guy's English was miles better than our pathetic Italian). We devoured both sitting on our hotel bed and thought we'd gone straight to heaven. The distinctive flavour of the friareili and sourdough-like texture of the base was just sublime. On our last night in Siena we called again to place another order but this time unfortunately were advised they were busy until 10pm! Their service is definitely inconsistent but it's worth the effort if you can get to try it. It literally redefined the meaning of pizza for us.

My wife and our three daughters have just had a fantastic dinner at Il Locale Di Guido. My wife and I shared a 1kg Fiorentina Steak, 2 daughters had Filet Steak and the little one had local pasta. We had a small bottle of wine and desserts. Everything was excellent. The service was great too. The entrance to the restaurant is a little peculiar but the dining area itself is lovely. We highly recommend.

We had gathering of 90 people before the evening of our wedding at Eldorado. The staff were very accommodating to our needs and were very friendly. The food they served was traditional italian dishes and they had a full bar. They played music through the speakers but could arrange live music if we wanted. Would highly reccomend.

Unassuming Osteria/Pizzaria. Lovely welcome from friendly staff. Very nice menu, nothing flash, but good selection of antipasti and pasta and pizza. Good house wine and prosecco. Nice outside seating. The food was all very good and the service remained friendly and also efficient. Everything was all as you would hope for in a small and local restaurant - and then the bill turns up and it is just superb, and I mean *outstanding* value. A restaurant that deserves support. Give them a visit!

Great dining experience! While fairly new, it was a great restaurant. We were residing in a remote villa and the restaurant sent us a van to transport our party of 8 to take us to their location. We were seated outdoors which was nice although not exceptionally scenic. Menu was in full Italian which at first presented a problem in ordering and the staff held little English. However using a photo with google translator, it easily translated into English for us on our cell phones. From there we all ordered our meal choices and no complaints on any of the meals. Fresh and delicious. Wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. We happened to notice a series of country flags around the premises and did not see the flag for the USA. No problem!!!!! They immediately presented one and displayed it amount the others in the outdoor patio! Nice. Definitely recommend this place. After a nice meal and a good time, we were transported back to our villa. Now that's service. Thank you to the owners and staff for a wonderful experience.

We stopped at Gaiole on an October Monday when the town was empty and many shops, etc. are closed. Lo Sfizio was about the only eatery open. We wanted an outside table and the place was empty, so the question, "Do you have a reservation?" was surprising. All became clear later when a cyclist tour group of about 20 arrived. At that point the three male servers decided to ignore us for the rest of the meal, but at least the pizza and wine had arrived. The pizzas were better than some, nothing special. Two pies and a bottle of vino for 45 euro was stiff, but probably expected at towns along the SS222. At checkout, the credit card reader suddenly was not working; we have seen this from time to time, so you can't do much about it other than be prepared to pay cash. There is a nearby ATM.

We were staying in Castel Monastero and came down here one night for dinner. It is super casual and nothing fancy which was what we wanted. Great extensive menu, pizzas, pasta, meat dishes, wine... service wasnât speedy but we werenât in a rush. Lots of locals eat here which tells you all you need to know. Great for a casual meal and v good value for money.

When you want take out pizza in the area around Castelnuovo Berardenga, La Morina is it. You can order even a day in advance and the precise time that you plan to take away. Lots of options and great flavor. Pizza time at Castelnuovo is definitively La Morina. By the way they always have things ready to go at the counter as well.
