It is named after the Mission San Gabriel Arcángel (which in turn was named for Archangel Gabriel), founded by Junípero Serra. The city grew outward from the mission and in 1852 became the original township of Los Angeles County. San Gabriel was incorporated in 1913. The city's motto is "A city with a Mission" and it is often called the "Birthplace" of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. At the 2010 census, the population was 39,718.

The Service: My server, Melissa, is such a doll. Very friendly and attentive. Love her big smile on her face~ So welcoming!! The manager, Alex, is constantly checking on customers table by table, making sure we are all well taken care. Excellent service!The Food: Not only they are famous with their hot wings but today I want to try their burger. Chicken Bacon Avocado - I love avocado on my burgers!! Fresh avocado (lots of them!!) on the tender grilled chicken breasts. So satisfying... Onion Rings - SUPER SUPER SUPER crispy!! Just the way I like it~ Alondra's Beignets - Very generous portion!! Big golden fried beignets~ sprinkled with confectionery sugar with chocolate dipping sauce on the side. I couldn't stop after eating the first one.... Love it!!The Parking: Private parking lot behind the restaurant (free) and street parking

The Petrillo's family name in the San Gabriel Valley area means quality food and good service. Many of it's dishes have been passed down through the generations in this family run establishment located on Las Tunas Drive in the changing community of Temple City. With the influx of Asian eatery's locally this longtime standby offers old world traditional Italian food in a very comfortable setting. Food is all freshly made (therefore it takes a bit longer) and you can taste the difference.

This is a very interesting industrialized mass production line that cranks out absolutely fresh pizza! They have about 9 workers making the pizza like subway makes your sandwich. They serve beer and salads too. THE PIZZA WAS DELICIOUS. If full of patrons can be a bit noisy, also many people come in for multiple pizzas...but we did not mind it. First time I have seen or heard of a pizza being cooked in under three minutes! We will be regulars.

All Hainanese and Singaporeans would protest that this is a shameful and disgusting representation of Hainan Chicken rice. First, the chicken although a huge portion, is lacking the soft and tenderness of the wonderful silky skin. The chicken usually lacks in flavor but this is absolutely tasteless. Now for the most important part, the rice. Hainan chicken rice is suppose to be full of chicken flavor and a bit of ginger and onions. This was everything but. Even white rice has more flavor than this. The chili is also extremely important and this was a completely failure of any representation of Hainan chicken rice.

I love supporting these old family establishments but this one left me empty at the end. I ordered the half and half spaghetti and meat ravioli house special and my lady a boring side salad. They bring fresh delicious room temperature bread to the table with soft butter squares. I rate restaurants on their bread service and if it isn't warmed up or baked they receive one less point. My plate of food was okay and nothing spectacular, my lady did not like the ravioli so another point lost. The waitress was nice but she never came back to check on us, more water, dessert, or something else ?

We went out and had a craving for Italian food tonight and ended up here. I ordered the Broiled Fried Chicken and ended up disappointed with my dish. I am a fried chicken fanatic and know good chicken when I taste it, this chicken seemed to be store bought and heated up in their oven. It wasn't worth the calories that came with it. The rest of our food was okay but the waiter service was top notch.

Was surprised to see the place full on a recent Sunday night, but after having a delicious dinner, I can see why. This restaurant offers high quality food in a place with great atmosphere. We enjoyed our bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese app, followed by the Dalai Lama and The Padre pizzas. We liked the historic building and how itâs been re-purposed into a restaurant.
