Another reviewer on here said that California Pizza Kitchen is âanother one of those large chain restaurants where you can always be assured of getting what you expect.â Unfortunately this seems to be true. Having found the Long Beach branch a pretty depressing experience, we were hoping that the one in Torrance, chosen for a pre-movie meal due to its proximity to the AMC multiplex, would redeem the chain, but no such luck. I was in the mood for, well, a pizza, and for some reason went for the California Club, but despite its (and I quote from the menu) âNueske's applewood smoked bacon, roasted chicken and Mozzarella, hearth-baked then topped with avocado, wild arugula, fresh torn basil and Romaine tossed in lemon-pepper mayoâ, it turned out to be pretty bland and boring, with a tough chewy crust that felt as if it had been hanging around for too long. As with the one I had at Long Beach, the non-veg ingredients just as much as the greens gave the impression of having been assembled rather than actually cooked together. My wifeâs salad was equally dull and far too gloopy. Enough said.

Our family and friends have been going to Lamppost Pizza for over 25 years. This family run place has been serving up excellent pizza and sandwiches "on the hill" for over 3 decades. We have gotten to know the owners and employees over the years and they are hard working and dedicated people who strive to run a quality restaurant. It's a great place for the entire family. So, if you're thinking about having good pizza, skip the chain places and go to Lamppost.

I am often told..if there is nothing good to say..then dont say anything at all...Staff made up of kids in training... very very slow in the 'assembly' line.. took forever to get thru the line ...and the restaurant was not even that busy... the place was disorganized...and finally got a 'soggy' pizza...and the acoustics were sooooo bad...you could not hear your name being called or even those who were seated at your table... bad tasting pizza... not to any of our liking...This place is a do NOT revisit for me...One and Done..pizza was just not good... sorry to say but I am not a fan of Pielogy or Blaza BUT as compared to this place..they are much better and edible...

If you are looking for an Italian Restaurant in Redondo Beach, CA then come to Buca. Our Italian Restaurant serves Authentic Family Style Italian Food. When you're in the mood for amazing Italian food in Redondo Beach, CA you're in the mood for Buca. Just
An unusual and charming restaurant right off the Pacific Coast Highway. If you are a first timer your server will tell you it's a "family restaurant" with BIG portions. He was not kidding. But they have lots of boxes for you to take home the rest. The decor is very 30s-50s italian with long tables, leather banquets, and lots of boxing pictures along with the movie stars. I looked at others eating "specialties" like chicken canalloni, but decided to try simple, comparable fare -- spaghetti and meatballs. The whole bowl and each meatball was huge. The spaghetti was a perfect al dente and the meatballs marvelously seasoned. A winner. However, I am subtracting a star because the spaghetti was not colundared, leaving water in the bottom of the bowl. Naughty. But, it was very busy so there might have been a rush. All in all, if you like Italian food and are in Redondo Beach, and have a good appetite, you will like Buca di Beppo.

Neighborhood Italian where service, food, drinks are top notch. Down one escalator flight from the Regal Theaters. Nice bar area, open main dining area has a few booths. Large selection of pastas, pizzas and main courses. Menu on-line. Servers are always attentive. Wine list is decent. On occasion some prosecco might show up gratis to finish off the meal.

The Appetizer is fabulous. Their pizza and sandwiches are so tasty. Everything is made fresh daily, lots of choices and coldest beer! The staff is awesome, so friendly and this is a family owned business for many, many years. I would recommend The Appetizer to anyone and I'll definitely be a repeat customer!
