The population was 1,781 at the 2010 census. Most of the community is in Anderson County and is included in the Knoxville Metropolitan Statistical Area. On June 26, 2014, the city officially changed its name from Lake City to Rocky Top, after a last-ditch effort by the copyright owners of the song "Rocky Top" was denied by a federal court.

Our motel clerk said this was the best pizza in town. So right he is. Pizza bar, salad bar, and great catfish. We left stuffed and will be going back. We tried 7 pizzas and not one was bad. Even had a chocolate dessert pizza. Crust wasn't all thick and heavy. Both the white and red sauces were excellent. All the ingredients were fresh. Also ordered a plate of catfish. Perfect!! Every item on the salad bar was very fresh.

This business has gone down the tubes. Our last order resulted in missing items we paid for but did not receive. This business made note in the computer about the charges and missing items and on the next order there would be a credit towards our next purchase. We just tried to place an order but there are no delivery drivers available and there is no refund available at this time. According to the domino's representative, this could change in the future when and if they are able to hire drivers.Sounds to me that this location is in financial trouble. Charged us for items we did not receive (banking revenue), unable to retain delivery drivers (sign of failing to meet payroll obligations), unable to repay back obligations of wrongful charges (short on funds).Will order from this location again as a result of erroneous charges and failure to reimburse the charges.

Second time to eat at the Gondolier. Food was very good. Breadsticks are very good. We chose individual pizzas which was more than enough. Love the sauce. We had fried ravioli with marinara sauce, very good. Disappointed there was no carrot cake. This is a destination stop as we go home from Florida. Jamie was our waitress this year. Very pleasant and efficient. Restaurant was busy.
