Had to try Piacere because another review said it was better than Buona Forchetta. We were really excited. We had VERY HIGH expectations. Unfortunately, Piacere Mio didnât deliver and didnât even come close to Buona Forchetta. The food was ok, the hostess really sweet, the waiters professional and they did a good job. The food wasnât great. The vibe was boring and beige...more strip mall than fun or vibrant, The calamari was rubbery and fishy tasting, the pasta was over cooked and the meat filling in the ravioli had so much bread filling you couldnât taste the meat. The artichokes were on of the brewer dishes. The pasta didnât taste fresh made - more like it was frozen. The sauces were bland and didnât taste authentically italian - more Americanized italian. Maybe we ordered the wrong things or it was an off night. I will give Piacere another try. But I donât have high hopes.

We have been to this pizza place several times as we love artichokes and so far this is the only place near us that offers artichoke pizza. Service was mediocre; place is small. On weekends especially, this place is very busy. We have ordered take out and eat-in at times. It is more comfortable to take home and eat the pizza. However, for the top taste, it is best to eat there while still hot and fresh. There is only 1 size of this pizza to order and costs $20. plus tax.For artichoke lovers, it is worth a try!

We ate dinner here on 12/25. We had reservations for 5 people at 1815 but due to an early arriving flight, we were a little early, but were still seated about 1800. Service was a little spotty, but I attribute that to the amount of patrons inside the restaurant. If you did not have reservations, the wait was about 1 hour and 45 minutes. For dinner we ordered: bruschetta appetizer, large entree of prosciutto stuffed chicken that served 4 of us, a childâs fettuccine alfredo, 1 maschio prosecco and for dessert a colossal brownie sundae. Poorest excuse for a Pizza ever. I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered the thin crust pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The box it came in had more moisture and flavor. The slices of pepperoni were a rumor....and the paper-thin slice mushroom couldn't have weighed more than 1/2 oz....all this for $14. Filippi's, I'm SO sorry....I will never, EVER do something stupid like this again. I must have been running a high fever!

Our two families met up there after travelling to the area. The staff were just finishing hosting a birthday party. I am sure they were tired, but they greeted us and treated us as if we were there at mid-day. Thank you staff for accomodating tired parents and wired kids.

Having dinner with a teenage grandchild is always a treat. The draw back at the Villa Capri is the tables are very close together and the noise level makes it more difficult for conversation. The service was good except he neglected to ask for a drink order. They do have outside seating but again noisy. The food is good. They usually serve pasta with a white sauce or a pink sauce. I have been here many times and this was the first I have had a cold red sauce served with the bread. It was delicious and I asked to have some with my pasta served warm which was great. The lobster ravioli served with pink was also enjoyed. The waiter chose the Cabernet wine and it was excellent. Pasta dishes are nearly $20 and up.Bread pudding a family favorite.

I cannot imagine a better neighborhood cafe! A charming little restaurant that serves great spaghetti & hot buttered bread with a beautiful side salad --close to your home if you live in Rancho Bernardo, California.Free Parking is available. The kitchen is really fast with its delicious production. The waitress is lovely & efficient, often the most pleasant person of my day!Even the ladies room is clean... imagine that! This place makes me happy.
