This restaurant is located in the small town of Montecchio. It moved around a year ago from the original Red Lion site to a new larger location on top of a shopping centre just 2 minutes down the road. It feels a little Chinese as you approach with the Red Lion theme, a large rising or setting sun mural on the wall and even a lantern style lamp illuminating the outside seating area. But once inside it's unmistakably Italian. Our group all opted for the huge metre long pizza's mostly accompanied by beer which is a good thing as the beer selection is huge, varied and excellent. The pizzas were huge, magnificent and full of flavour. I'm sure the full menu is also good but on pizza and beer alone this is a 5 star establishment. Service was also friendly and efficient.

Buonissima la pizza, ben cotta, non bruciata, leggermente croccante, piena di ottimi ingredienti. Ottimo il servizio, gentilezza e simpatia. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

The pizza is good but the contest and the location are poor. You can have a decently priced quality pizza on the corner of a main road.

Che dire, quando veniamo qui ci sentiamo coccolati e viziati.... Servizio impeccabile, accoglienza famigliare e si mangia divinamente. Cosa volere di più da un ristorante? Imperdibile

We were hungry at lunch but didnât want a heavy, complicated ristorante type A-Z meal. Since we were in the neighborhood we found RPMLL. What a treat! Foccacia to start, with a cipolla topping. Excellent salad, fantastic pizza: perfect crust, exceptional sauce, highest quality mozzarella... fine quality olive oil and tasty balsamic vinegar... chased down with local Lambrusco. Topped off with lemoncello and an unbelievable cherry liquor which we were informed was 42% alcohol. The interior is a bit tacky. Donât let that put you off. Hungry? Go! Closed Mondays.

If you happen to be around the Emilia region while in your Italian holidays, or in particular around Reggio Emilia, try not to miss this place! It's just about 15 Km from Reggio Emilia's centre, and makes probably some of the very best pizzas you could eat, without having to travel to Naples ;) The owners are super lovely and the atmosphere is very relaxed, so you will definitely feel comfortable! Then, the pizzas.. out of this world!!! A must try: the Pizza Regina. Buon Appetito!

Possibly the best restaurant I've been to in northern Italy since being in the country for two weeks. Such great value for massive, tasty pizzas. They serve cakes too! The owner is very talented although his English is limited. The lady who works there has great English and is so friendly. Would love to go back to try more.

We called by chance and so glad we did. The place was spotless with linen tablecloths and serviettes. It didnât appear to cater for tourists so we felt we had a genuine Italian meal- fresh, crisp pizzas accompanied by a local Lambrusco. We managed to communicate with the friendly waiter despite the language difference.
