There are many restaurants in the business district where I work and I choose to go to Main Street Pizza and Cafe most often. There are two reasons for this: 1. Melinda in the front! She is soooo friendly and professional and helpful and will accommodate any request. 2. The food is delicious! I typically get a BIG slice, fresh out of the oven, along with a small garden salad. They sprinkle mozzarella cheese on the garden salad and it's oh so tasty! Melinda always thanks me and I'm eager to go there again.Definitely go here for pizza!

Don't go to a place billed as a pizza cafe and order entrees. Everything was just so bland. Eggplant rollatini is on of my favorites so we read the reviews and headed around the corner from our hotel. Parking a nightmare as 2 cars in front took up 5 spaces. Neighbors put up u will be towed if you park here signs. Ordered wings medium. ... small and sauced dumped on them mild. Broccoli Rabe chicken pasta. .. greasy with uniform tiny chunks of something white. Lots of Rabe though. Large portion. Eggplant was supposed to have herb flavored ricotta but had pepper sprinkled on the eggplant. Sauce tasted out of a can. Slices of cheese melted on top. Ample portion but flavorless. Chicken parm was on a large roll but way to big for the small serving of chicken. Bland sauce. Fettuccine Alfredo was a large portion but Alfredo was no better then a generic jarred sauce. The best part of the meal was the salad. Mixed greens tomato onions carrot cucumber and a nice but small serving of house dressing. Did not come for pizza but case had many square "flat" crust varieties and other standards getting cold and old. Chain, commercial and lacking in flavors. Stick with the pizza....

I love Gino's restaurant. I have never been disappointed with any of my meals. I will say the portions are huge and I normally get at least two meals out of the servings they give you. The staff is incredibly friendly and I like that they have a very low turnover for staff. Gino's restaurant is the place to go for the best Italian food around.

Lolita's makes and serves absolutely excelled pizza. The thin crust has clearly been refined over the years. It's not in Brooklyn or in Manhattan, but still, it's very good. Having read earlier reviews, I chose the white pizza. With lots of cheese and garlic, along with olive oil, it's not greasy. Just flavorful. I found the pizza to be nicely filling and I walked out satisfied. Others ordered the kale salad and the chopped salad. These were also fresh, flavorful and distinctive. The reason to give Lolita's only 4* is the prices. It's a bit rich to ask $15 for a 12" pizza in Poughkeepsie.

Anytime I'm in Poughkeepsie visiting my daughter, I make sure I stop in at Emiliono's. I think there pizza is the best I ever had. They got a big selection of gourmet pizzas. The owner is super friendly and you can tell he's loved in the neighborhood. His awnings hanging over his storefront are awesome.

Itâs not worth it to order take out from here anymore. The servings are very small and the orders get screwed up. The food was ok. I guess itâs better to stay and dine here. Servings are larger when you stay.

Headed By Local Culinary Institute of America Graduate, Joel Trocino. Creative weekly specials, plus always serving the classic Italian American Dishes. We Serve Pizzas and Burgers and lite fare in our lounge, as well as full take out and delivery busines
Situated across from the train station this building dates from about 1840 was originally a brewery owned by a Mr. Vassar who gave money to the formerly school for ladies nearby. Now it is a restaurant. Ground level caters to the pizza set...take-out but a couple of tables to eat in. Lots of choices. Looked great as we entered. Upstairs is a most comfortable dining room with high ceilings. The food is amazing. Yes, try the daily specials but also check out the menu for pasta with Sunday gravy...an assortments of meats. I liked the lobster ravioli. Joey talked about his experiences and that of the evolution of his restaurant. He treated to "Italian Tacos" a sweet. We ate for 2 days and shared with staff at our hotel. Thank you.

This is a wonderful "local" restaurant that is very popular with vacationers and year round residents. The food is very fresh tasting and served in generous portions. The rooms are bright with pleasing decor and ample seating. We sat in a cozy section and the conversation level was comfortable. There were larger groups in another room. The service is good, all dishes were enjoyed (including 2 desserts) and we lingered to chat and savor the ambiance.
