Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Porto Venere. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was a favorite of Byron, Shelley and D.H. Lawrence. (In fact, if you don’t mind a few rocks, you can swim at one of Byron’s favorite spots, now dubbed Byron’s Cove.) Portovenere’s San Pietro Church was built on the remains of a 6th-century church, which was itself built atop an ancient Roman temple to Venus. Relax and enjoy the boats bobbing in lines on the pretty bay, or daytrip to the Cinqueterre.

Poor service made the fact that the pizzas and food here are not very Italian tasting. The spaghetti was clearly microwaved from a packet and when I asked for my favorite Italian beer they said they could offer Becks instead.Really fancied a pizza and this disappointed - there must be a better pizza in porto Venere!

1918 was highly recommended to us by two locals the first day we arrived in Lerici and it turns out they were spot on. The food is fresh and creative and the energetic staff compromised of the owner's family members work together in perfect harmony to provide outstanding customer service.

Easy to walk to restaurant in a seaside resort setting. Nice pasta, salads, mains. Heavy on the seafood, but they have some other selections.

We came on a cruise ship which moored in the bay and we were tendered in. A nice town with some great views and historical buildings. The town was very busy so we headed left along the sea front for 5 minutes and found this great little restaurant with tables and chairs outside. There were instructions on a table with a paper menu you ticked and then took it inside and paid. At first I thought this was quite poor but it worked. The service was very good, I had Oysters and my wife had the Caprese salad and a bottle of wine. All very good with a great view of the bay and quiet. A good find.

Rudder opens its doors around 1960 when Portovenere had not yet reached the tourist interest today. The create and lead him to the end of the 80s and Marino Toni offering their customers the traditional Ligurian dishes joined the Italian dish: pizza. Toda
If you are in Portovenere, you should definetely visit Il Timone. The location is great, not very crowded but nice view on the sea. The pizza's are all great (we tried a few), and also the local dishes like fried anchovis and farinata (chickpea pancakes) I can recommend. Friendly staff. Not very expensive.

We ate 6 evening meals in the restaurants of Portovenere and for us, this was one of the best. Service was quick and efficient and our waitress spoke very good English. The house wine wasn't a gold medal winner but was very drinkable, the local mussels from the bay right outside the restaurant were prepared simply and were delicious and both our seafood main courses were very good. With its white table cloths and setting, the restaurant has a touch of class and we would recommend it others.
