Reviews on Pizza food in Porto Azzurro, Province of Livorno, Italy. Porto Azzurro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Livorno in the Italian region Tuscany; it is on the island of Elba, located about 130 kilometres (81 miles) southwest of Florence and about 90 kilometres (56 mi) south of Livorno. It was formerly called Porto Longone, and in 1557 Iacopo VI Appiani, Prince of Piombino, granted Spain the right to build a fortress there. It was transferred to the Kingdom of Naples in 1735 under the terms of the 1725 Treaty of Vienna, and then to France in 1801, when Napoleon established the Kingdom of Etruria.

Very very bad. Awfull lasagna and a waitres who wasnât very friendly or took the time for a smile. Tourist trap optima forma. They should be ASHAMED that they serve this. The pizza my wife had was undercooked and it was almost impossible to cut the rim. Undercooked, by far too small and without taste. One positive thing, I refused to pay for the microwave stinky lasagna and they didnât charge it. I vomited my way out of there. Shame on the owner and the chef that run this dump. Get out of the kitchen and go sit in a corner and think about your life. Did you really want to become a dreadfull chef and owner. Shame on you.

We love Giuseppe's for it's amazing pizzas and the fact that is patronised by local people . The welcome is warm and relaxing. Also love the decor with all the American car plates. We make sure to visit every time we are in Porto Azzuro

My husband and our 9.5 month old baby dined here during our stay in Elba - it seemed like a good choice as it was on the water and the closest restaurant to the main street. We were not greeted or seated upon entering - after about 3 minutes someone came over and directed us to a table but there weren't any high chairs available. It should be noted, the restaurant did not appear to be very busy. We were seated outside (where I had to hold our baby the entire time). 10 minutes later we were given menus. 15 minutes later someone came over to take our order. We placed an order for 2 pizzas. Almost one hour later I asked my husband (who is Italian) to check on our order and see if it was possible to get it to go since we'd been there for over an hour with at this point a VERY fussy child. 15 minutes later we finally received our food in to-go boxes. One pizza was the wrong order and the correct pizza wasn't very good. There also seemed to be a miscommunication between the waiters and chef because at one point he came out of the kitchen and yelled to the owners. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in my entire life.

Excellent the seafood risotto, unexpectedly so. Good menu with lots local specialities. Shame we had to insist for a front line table as apparently they were all reserved but no-one appeared. Waiters could have been a bit more friendly all in all a positive experience.

This place had great food and a lot of dishes on the menu, however they used way too long to deliver the food.

went there on account of a recommendation on the eve of the semifinals of the euro soccer championship. I was there to celebrate a special occasion with my fiancee and we were utterly dissapointed. we had plate of bruscetta, small pieces of italian baguette with a variety of topping. I have no idea how a cook could mess up a simple antipasti like this but each one of the four pieces of bread was hard as a rock and toasted so badly that it was partially black. as a main course we each ordered a pizza, this place was supposed to be famous for their pizza. I had a quattro stagioni. each one of the toppings was worse than the others. the olive were out of the can and tasted like nothing and everything else was out of the can as well. the worst thing about my pizza was that the ham was obviously expired. it tasted like it had been expired for quite a while and I could not eat any further because I was so close to vomitting. I am not kidding!! DONT EAT AT THIS PLACE EVERmy fiancee ordered a calzone and the dough on the top of the pizza was raw. it smelled like yeast and it looked like mozzarella. even though we were only at the place for about an hour we were served by three different waiters. one of them, a middle aged women gave us the impression like she hated us - every single time she came to the table. what a horrible experience. I would like to point out, that I am not a gourmet and that I dont have special requirements for being a satisfied restaurant customer. I have also eaten my fair share of pizzas in my life and so has my girlfriend, who lived in italy of more than a year. we have never eaten such a bad pizza. This review can not be referred to us because we are not a famous pizza restaurant since we are mainly a fish restaurant that also serves only 6 types of true napolitan pizza, because on our pizza menu there's not the "4 stagioni" nor the "calzone" and we never served bruschetta (or bruscetta), but also because the only woman waiter is a very kind 22 years old girl. Maybe the user mistaken the restaurant with another "Giardino degli Aranci" since they are many other in Italy. Our restaurant is located in ISOLA D'ELBA, TUSCANY. We are sorry that the customer had such a bad experience, but it's an evidence that this was not in our restaurant.

Definitely a stunning view and great meat.We have decided to have a dinner at the restaurant and were amazed by the tagliata with black truffles. For sure one of the best dinners in Porto Azzurro.

We had our best pizza here; very tasty. Try the gourmet one. The only inconvenience was that the place was very busy, so we had to wait for our reserved table. Anyway it was worth the 30' waiting (after that service was quick). We will try to come back during our trip.

2 Air-conditioned indoor rooms, pets, specialty fish soup, fried but not suggest everything is cooked in a wood oven dishes, side dishes, desserts, pizzas and a much healthier return to the good taste of the food of other times, pasta homemade selection o
Climbing down steps to below street level, you feel as if you entered a pirates cove. Maritime decor, stone walls, fisherman's nets and paraphernalia. A tiny restaurant with lots of atmosphere. We were early before the evening rush-hour. The service very good and I had the best gnocchi with 4 cheese sauce I have ever eaten. My hubby had a pizza. We did not eat their house speciality, a seafood soup but it looked divine.
