The Babilonya Pub was founded in 1987 by the idea of two young boys. Typical English Pub with high quality beers and the chance to eat. Over the years the choice has been further expanded with the addition of new dishes, lots of cocktails and also a lot o

We were looking for somewhere for Pizza for lunch. The choice here is extensive. The pizzas didn't take too long to come and were of a very good size. With a Coke and a beer the total bill came to 17 euro. Very reasonable for what was a most enjoyable lunch

... perfect for families. Everybody finds something. the pizze are good, but if you want something special, don't look at the menu but trust Michele and order something from the days special: simple, genuine and very tasty.

Our large group of 10-12 ate three dinners here from a near by villa that we rented. That alone should tell you how much we enjoyed this restaurant. The waitress that worked with us all three evenings was wonderful. The menu is varied and the food is excellent. It was a delicious and fun especially the two nights we ate out on the patio. Would strongly recommend this for your dining experience.

Food was okay, but our party had made a reservation the day before and staff did not have a record of it. Worst of all, they weren't the least bit apologetic about their error. This was the second time that our host had had this happen. Apparently the female half of the couple that runs the place is forgetful. Anyway, between the rude and unapologetic attitude of the staff, the incredibily loud noise level, the dozens of poorly behaved children running loose in the restaurant and the only okay food, I won't be returning.

This is another of many examples where TA needs the GOOD rating. Better than average, but not quite my version of Very Good. We stopped for dinner here after a day of sightseeing, hoping for a quick dinner. We got the prix-fixed menu, thinking it would be faster and it seemed a good value. It was a GREAT value. The antipasti was enough for dinner- cheeses, salami, and 6 or 7 pieces of brisket, all delicious. The pasta course was fresh, toothy and enormous as well. Then came the florentine steak, perfectly prepared, though a tad salty for my taste. Salad and desert for 20 euros. If traveling alone, I could take this home for 3 days of food! But it took over a hour after ordering to get the steak, although the restaurant was near empty. This is likely the preferred way to eat here, and we were just tired, so it seemed much too long. Very nice host, but so slow I have to give service a lesser rating.

Visited here twice over a week holiday in Poppi. The food is absolutely to die for. I had the tortelli de patate and the Mercurio pizza, and both were easily the best pizza and pasta dishes I had encountered in Italy. Food is ridiculously cheap also considering the fantastic quality of the food. One of the main reasons for returning other than the meals was the beautiful views surrounding the restaurant looking all over Poppi. Only reason I am not giving five stars is because the food did not come out at the same time so some people had finished eating when others food just arrived, and side dishes came out after our mains. Otherwise, a great experience. Would 100% return.

The reason for the many positive reviews are probably more a craving for a change of Italian fare of great pastas and wines that this region has to ofger rather than for the quality of this joint. Don't get me wrong, the beer is good (although nothing to compare with the top micro breweries) and desserts are not bad neither, but it goes downwards from that point. perhaps we should have sticked to safer options, but the stinco(pork shank) as well as chicken were very average. The service was also not great with waitresses forgetting a lot of things including drinks and cutlery. next time, I would stick to a few beers and perhaps some snacks, but definately no meals for me.
