Originally home to northern transplants and vacationers, the hundred year old city has grown into the fourth largest city in Pinellas County, the most densely-populated county in Florida. The city and surrounding areas are almost completely urbanized. Pinellas Park contains a substantial portion of the "Gateway" area of the county, targeted for future infrastructure, residential, and commercial development as it sits roughly in the middle of the Tampa Bay area's over two million people. Though technically land-locked, its borders lie only a few miles from Tampa Bay to the east, and Boca Ciega Bay and the Gulf of Mexico to the west. The city is known for its popular equestrian facilities and events, and many residents also participate in fishing and water activities in nearby venues. On Park Boulevard, the city's oldest street and primary thoroughfare, one can find anything from produce stalls and flea markets to high-end luxury vehicles.

In April 2017, Delish and Esquire Magazines named Tikanis the best place for wings in the entire state of Florida. Their winds are fired first, then tossed in your choice of sauce, then flamed-broiled to give them their unique flavor. We ordered a dozen of their Sweet Thai Chili wings ($13, $7 for six) and they were greatâand a bit spicy as well. Their other sauces are: mild, medium, hot, Napalm, honey BBQ, Teriyaki, garlic parmesan, Jamaican jerk, lemon pepper, and blackened. The wings come with carrots, celery, and a choice of dipping sauces (ranch or blue cheese). I saw a newspaper article with the headline, âTake Off with a Jumbo-Jet Beer Flight.â The article went on to read, âThe $45 flight board includes 25 samples, equivalent of six pints; smaller flights are also available. Now that sounded like a challengeâunfortunately, I had my kids in tow, but now 25 samples on one flight board (at the very least) is on my bucket list. Our family ordered two pizzas, a medium 12â one-topping pizza ($12) and a large 16â one-topping pizza ($16.50). Now, when it comes to pizza, I love pizzaâit would be my last meal on earth, but I am not a connoisseur, by any means. To me, pizza is like sex; when itâs good, itâs good; but when itâs bad⦠itâs still good. My unique skill lies not in discerning flavor profiles or building exotic creations, rather gauging the value of pizzas, relative to their cost and quality. Basically, if you pay a premium price, you should get a premium pizza and the prices Tikanis charge for their pizzas, just doesnât add up to quality of pizza they serve. One of our pizzas had a small amount of toppings. Additionally, the dough for both pizzas were undercooked in the middle, but browned on the crust. Perhaps par-baking the dough will help it cook more evenly and through. Lastly, they dough was also very tough and chewy, most likely because they use a high protein flour in their dough. I wish I could give them a 2.5 rating, but will round up to 3, hoping they improve their pizzas. While I wouldnât come here for the pizzas, I would strongly recommend eating their wings and attempting to finish their jumbo-jet beer flight.Milack, thank you for your review and glad to hear that our Wings were great and you enjoyed our beer selection. We ordered dinner here and took it home. Wasnt all I wanted it to be but wasnt bad. I always want more cheese on everything and this seemed to be lacking. Wasnt the best wasnt the worst. I will try it again to see if this might have just been an off night...

Looking for a place near the Pinellas High School and saw several cars parked in an otherwise drab strip center. Its a working class "locals" type place and the smokers sit at tables outside. Football game on the TVs. Typical independent Florida neighborhood joint. Friendly waitress. We asked what was good and were told to try the pizza for sure but "everything was good". The house cab was very drinkable while we waited. It was busy so there was a wait and we were starving and worried about making a game. When the pizza arrived it was, well, really darn good. I'm a pizza snob too. We don't get to that area much but will definitely go back.

This is huge guys. She usually avoids pizza but the margarita pizza here really won her over. We have trashed many, many places ( like Mike's in IRB ) and love SLYCE but Bella for us is just perfect. Way to go guys! - Captain Tar

If you are looking for a good pizza place look no further than this place. The sauce is good and the crust is just right. We had been looking for a good pizza place for a while in our area. We found it here and they have 3 other locations. They don't taste like a chain though.

Great hole in the wall!! At first glance the inside looks a little shabby but don't let that scare you away. We had a party of 9. Staff were very accommodating! The littlest member of the family spilled her drink all over the floor and a staff member rushed to clean it up. On Monday's their pizza is buy one get one free! So the whole family are for the price of one pizza. The actual pizza was tasted good so overall there is not much to complain about.

This place is great. Friendly, busy staff. Prices were excellent, and we did not even get any of their specials. All the other patrons were eating pizza. Next time we will try the pizza. This place is easy to get in and out of onto Belcher.

Tonite was my first visit to Italia Mia. I was very impressed. Started with quite a nice sized salad, though it was only iceberg, a couple tomato wedges, 2 green olives and a peppercini (nothing impressive), and then ordered the linguine with white clam sauce. It was served piping hot and an abundance of chopped clams perfectly seasoned and served over a bed of linguine cooked to perfection and served with a hot crusty roll. One of the best white clam sauces I've ever had!

As we walked in the door the restaurant reminded us of an Italian restaurant in Arlington Va. Small, cozy with great atmosphere. We sat in a booth surrounded by Italian murals painted by the original owner. Our server had been with the restaurant for years and knew the history and the menu well. We started with mussels and calamari with Chianti wine. For an entree we both had different veal dishes which came with pasta. Everything was very good and the portions were large. We had to take half home with us.Good service and good food.
