Northville is a city located in and divided by Oakland and Wayne counties in the U.S. state of Michigan. The area is a suburb of Metropolitan Detroit. The population was 5,970 at the 2010 census. Most of the city is in Oakland County and is surrounded by the city of Novi, while the other part is in Wayne County is surrounded by Northville Township. Northville is served by Northville Public Schools. The city is located 21 miles (34 km) northeast of Ann Arbor and 29 miles (47 km) northwest of Detroit.

Until a year ago I hailed from the lovely Garden State. The whole NY/NJ area is full of establishments boasting of the âbest pizzaâ. There is all kinds: brick oven, coal oven, wood fired, and the corner pizza restaurant. So I am jaded and abit of a snob when it comes to pizza pie as we North Newarkerâs called it growing up.Fast forward and I marry a Detroiter and there are trips to his home state visiting in-laws and friends to celebrate (graduations and weddings) and mourn (hospitalizations and deaths). Early on I quickly learned that Jersey wasnât the only pizza that locals areproud of, there are many of them out there. The first time I ate Detroit Style Pizza, I fell in love. I had Buddyâs square pizza. The dough gets a double rise which when baked makes it an airy but well structured. The cheese is Wisconsin brick cheese. I donât know what that is but it is stretchy and somewhat tart. It is a perfect accompaniment to the sweeter tomato sauce. The cheese is put on the dough first followed by the sauce. The pie is in a rectangular sheet pan w/ sides and then baked to perfection (IMHO). You can order a half which is four pieces or a whole which is eight slices. All pizzas can be accessorized and there are some such as the Ultimate Italian, the New Yorker and so forth. There are other non pizza options and I recommend the Chopped Antipasto Salad that my husband says is yummo. If you are in the Detroit area and can get to a Buddyâs I guarantee you will have an unforgettable pizza. There is nothing impressive about this little restaurant in a roadside strip mall, in fact the facility is rather beat up looking inside but the pizza we were served was very impressive as was the very attentive service we received. I really was not expecting much when we ate there last night for the first time but with that first slice I remembered how much I enjoyed a really good pizza, which seems increasingly hard to find these days with so many places trying to cut prices and cutting the quality along with it so that you no longer have anything special. This place is a little out of our way but we will make a point of eating here any time we are in the area.

We really enjoy eating here. The food is so delicious. It's always so comfortable, with a cozy ambiance. Wonderful and attentive service. Their Italian entrees are so good - Chicken Parmigiana (had a nice crisp texture), Pasta Woozie (Chicken & Spinach Alfredo). We even had Tiramisu for dessert, which we rarely do - it was heavenly. Smooth and delicious. Exceptional dining.

After ordering an appetizer of grilled vegetables (delicious) I was surprised to learn a salad came with the entree - even the pasta entree. It was delicious. A more than ample dinner for two - grilled vegetables, salads, pasta and a side of sausage - beer and a wine spritzer - for 65.00. AmaIng.

Every time we order pizza from here, they are delicious. We order the 2 for $15 which includes 2 medium pizzas and bread. They give you a fair amount of toppings and use real cheese and meat. Again, I like their consistency. Every time the pizza is good. I also like that we can pay a few bucks extra and get a cheese and pepperoni pizza for the kids and a pizza loaded with toppings for us. All for less than $20!

I was here for a late lunch recently and very much enjoyed it. I was on my way out of town, so I only had an ice tea instead of wine but they also offered some fancy Italian sodas. The pizzas all looked really good but I've always thought that the true judge of pizza place is their plainest pizza so I ordered the margarita pizza. It came out pretty quickly and it was as close to perfect as you could get. The crust was thin in the middle but thick and chewy at the edges with just a hint of char. The sauce was delicious and tasted very fresh. The slices of real mozzarella that dotted the top, again tasted authentic and fresh. And just a light sprinkling of fresh basil leaves were the perfect accent. I couldn't ask for more.

I like Jett's deep dish pizza when it's done right. Some (Jett's) locations are better than others and this is a good one. Occasionally, the pizza is excellent. The ingredients are fresh and while it's not Buddies, it's still very good pizza. Delivery is fast. No dine in.

Pizza Cutter is our familyâs favorite pizza. We can count on one hand the bad experiences here. We donât order from Pizza Cutter every time because they are expensive but order a few times a year as a treat. Tonightâs pizza was perfect. Larger size than the $5 pizzas and they use real cheese. Still $20 for one pizza and bread, but seriously the best pizza in the area.
