I made reservations in advance of our trip. We were docked in Dubrovnik but I decided on a half day trip to Cavtat.Cavtat is gorgeous and not crowded like Dubrovnik. I had reservations for 1:30pm. On the morning of our day in Cavtat, I emailed the restaurant asking them to move the reservations to 2pm; however, I accidentally wrote 1pm. We arrived about 1:20pm, as our walk around the town didn't take as long as we expected. The waiters may have been slightly annoyed at first, but I explained my mistake. No worries I was told. They kept my table on the terrace, right at the water's edge. Loved it!!Excellent lunch of grilled squid and vegetables. Just an absolutely enjoyable afternoon with our friends.

Next door to Pizzeria Desetka which you have listed.I have just returned from Cavtat and would like to review this place.
We loved this place and ate there even though we were all inclusive. Make sure you are very hungry though as the meals are huge. They even remembered our drinks order from the previous day Excellent value for money

Against our better judgment we ordered the lasagna to share. It was the worst I have ever seen. There was no hint of it being a tomato based dish. It was basically a âMac and cheeseâ.It was edible, just, but we didnât finish it. The salad was good. Should have stuck to grilled meat.

TAâs listing directed me to this local restaurant, which was not overly far from my accommodation, and offered an alternative to the fancier offerings at Mlini or Srebrebo beaches. I want my holiday week to offer me both types of restaurants. This was very local, laid back, unfussy. Dining room is basic and functional; waiter was very polite with excellent English; my pizza and side salad were excellent. As I waited I was able to watch football, then local 80s pop music on the big screen! Certainly worth a visit.

The restaurant is a part of hotel Mlini. Not directly in their building but they manage it!
Ate here on the last night of our holiday. The spaghetti with prawns and the peasant pizza were lovely, just a shame they do not serve chips

Another restaurant on the main road, which on reflection, is hardly surprising. Not all eateries can be on the waterfront, and the coastal raid makes perfect sense. Fairly soon the passing traffic is just part of the ambience, and not disturbingly so. This Saturday night we had entertainment: a crooner with a backing track (who was also playing guitar, to be fair), who, although not entirely my scene, was fairly unobtrusive, and I was able to sit at a reasonable distance. A friendly waiter served me a good shrimp risotto (no calories in the copious amounts of cream or course!!). A decent piece of tuna followed, although I feel a salty fish had been further salted in its preparation, which to my taste was a bit too much. It was accompanied by spinach and potato, both well prepared (also with a side portion of crushed garlic) and I was particularly impressed with the small, fresh bread rolls accompanying my meal - in truth, the most interesting bread during my holiday week! Sorry to say that the positive review ends here. After clearing my main course plate, my waiter offered me no further service. Perhaps itâs the Croatian way? I was actually of a mind to order dessert, but resent having to grab a waiterâs attention in order to do this. Surely it is part of their job to see service through to the end of a meal, and surely they realise that they can do better business by encouraging their customers in this respect?Having waited half an hour, my enthusiasm for pudding was gone, so I paid my bill (and expressed my dissatisfaction to my waiterâs colleague, who was apologetic) and left.
