Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Mittenwald. As automobiles became popular in the early 20th century, quiet little towns along popular roads suddenly found themselves tourist destinations. Mittenwald is one of them. This small Bavarian town in the northern foothills of the Alps, on the route to Innsbruck, Austria, has been a popular stop since the 1930s. For challenging walks, many area ski runs become hiking trails in summer. And visit the local violin museum (Mittenwald is known for the manufacture of fine string instruments).

After a second visit to La Locanda, we have only positive remarks. It may look plain from the outside, but inside is delightful. Service has been excellent, prices inexpensive to moderate, with a menu to satisfy just about anyone. We've tried the pasta arrabiata, pasta with garlic, oil and pepper, as well a pizza. All sure to please. The mozerella bruschetta is a great, and very reasonably priced. For Italian in Mittenwald, La Locanda is our go-to place.

We stopped by Mittenwald while driving from Munich to Innsbruck, Austria. What a beautiful town! It could be a destination by itself.Strolling through the idyllic town, we spotted a bakery - Georg Reiger (BahnhofstraÃe 13, 82481 Mittenwald, Germany). Wow, it was better than any bakery we could find in Munich. So glad we checked it out. For some reasons, I could not find this bakery on the TripAdvisor.Cakes and pastries are in the bag. But, I needed lunch. Across the street, we saw Dönermo. I ordered the Dürüm Dönor. For â¬5, man, he must have packed a pound of meat in it! Above all, it was delicious. Now, I have ate a lot of kabebs in Germany. This one is in the top tier. With beautiful sunny sky, we sat outside enjoying the food. It was too good.

We spent a great evening there last week, its located in the high street and easy to find, we ordered pizzas and were certainly not disappointed, they were huge for a start but plenty of topping and thin crust which is what we love, the staff, Italians don't disappoint and they certainly didn't here , great food, friendly staff just great.
