The population was 7,045 at the 2000 census. In 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau was 8,044. The population estimate for 2013 was 9,323. It is the county seat of Santa Rosa County. Milton was known by various names during its development. Most notable were "Hell-Town" (muggy, inhospitable land covered with briars, mosquitoes, thorns, snakes) "Jernigan's Landing", "Scratch Ankle" (due to the briars that grew along the riverbank), "Hard Scrabble", and later Milton (possibly Homage to the Epic Poem novelist John Milton) and/or because of the local lumber mill industry or Mill Town, which was shortened to Milton.

We no longer go to this Pizza Hut. There is always too much crust exposed and not enough toppings. We haven't had a friendly person help us either. Not going back.

We have had lunch here a couple of times. Both times the food was really good for inexpensive "fast" food. Freshly prepared sandwiches, pizza, and salads. The "lunch specials" are a great value and we have been pleased. Will be back!

Not only was our waitress on the less friendly side she also couldn't get a extremely simple order correct.Large stuff crust with the house blend on the crust, pepperoni and Italian sausage. Fairly easy. Instead they forgot our house blended crust and gave us a buttered crust... Overly buttered.. They "fixed it" by bring us the same pizza with the house blend on top. The Italian sausage was overly seasoned. Over all this place stinked.

We lived in Milton for a time, and only used them a few times. Pizza was as good or slightly better than the other Dominoes chains I've used in the past. Their service was polite, and delivery was prompt. Poor delivery guys, we were babysitting a huge, scary, barking dog we had to lock up whenever someone came to the door. The next time, the guy called when he was almost there, and we just started telling them to wait in the car and we'd come out and get it to avoid the dog hassle.

This is a relatively new pizza place in Milton and I just tried it for the first time. I ordered a large Ultimate Supreme, to go. It was made fresh and cooked in about 10 minutes. It was shown to me to make sure it was to my liking. Cost $10 and change which is a great value. It smelled so good I could hardly wait to get home before diving in. It was delicious, the veggies were fresh and after baking, they retained a lil natural crispness, which I love. The sauce was not acidic like so many other pizza brands; it had a nice sweetness to it. The crust was cooked perfectly and was yummy. I do wish they had salads and that is the only downside. I have found my new place for pizza.

Salty...salty....salty. Food was fresh. Two appetizers....caprese was REALLY salty. Three entrees....lasagna was very good; eggplant parmesan with penne (was made with spaghetti vice penne); tortellini alla panna was absolutely ICE cold and salty.Atmosphere.....there is NONE. $70 meal for three, served on paper plates and (entrees) in metal takeout containers.....with plastic knife and fork. Won't go there again!

Ordered a large pizza and was told it would take 30-40 minutes. We live less than 10 minutes away from the place, but it arrived 1.5 hours later, cold. Flavor was good after we microwaved it.

Waitress couldnât find any utensils and finally found 2 spoons and 2 knives.... all dirty. We ordered the stuffed mushroom appetizer and the dish it was served in was burned on the handles and there was char on the bottom and sides. Mushrooms tasted fine but presentation was off putting. My husband got a salad but it was served with no fork and it took them several minutes to find one. The salad was fresh and well prepared so there is no complaints with the food. I ordered a small pizza which tasted good and the crust was tasty. Just carry in your own utensils or eat with your hands.
