The wife, myself, daughter and son-in-law went here to try it out for the first time last week. The waitress was very friendly, took our drink order, brought them back and took our appetizer order then dinner order. It got very busy in a hurry and the kitchen put up our appetizers after our meal was brought to the table. My daughter got dark meat instead of lite meat on her chicken. The waitress was very apologetic and got the manager to come to our table and also apologized and took my daughters meal off the bill and got a complimentary dessert.. The kitchen had an off night that day: but we will try it again in the future since they were so nice about it.Fredelcamino thank you for being so understanding! We pride ourselves on providing great experiences and we hope you have enjoyed many since this review! Look forward to hearing from you again!

I was here on a business trip did some pretty good research on TripAdvisor and decided upon this place based on reviews and their menu. I sat in the bar area which had multiple televisions with sporting events a good selection of beer wine and beverages and the service was fast and friendly. I had the pizza special with sausage and pepperoni which was really good with a lot of cheese and tasty meat and would definitely do again, I ordered the hot wings but you're also really good both on size and taste the sauce was good tasted homemade only downfall was it didn't stick to the wing very well. I will definitely be going back to this place when in Ottawa on business

Four of us went to dinner here on dark dreary Wednesday night. We'd all been here different times before usually during their busy summer season. My husband and I have always had good dining experiences when we've stopped in. The reason I'm reviewing it now is that we were late getting there and knew the kitchen would close soon. You would never know it though by the great service and food we had. No rush at all. It was wing night so some had wings, I had their grilled prime rib sandwich and salad bar. We all agreed that everything was delicious! Well worth the trip anytime!

I guess for Ottawa the pizza making is not viewed as a cuisine skill. It was evident in the pizza I ordered during a recent visit. Average at best is the kindest way I can put it....adding insult to injury...they only accepted cash...why was that not posted somewhere? I will buy a frozen pizza next time

A local favorite since 1974. Also serving Italian Subs, Beef Rolls, Cannoli, Pasta and wings.
Sam's is a small, neat and clean family owned Italian restaurant. On a Wednesday evening the owners were working in the kitchen and were very friendly. There are a number of Italian selections on the menu, but we chose to order the Sam's Special Pizza. Our pizza was "Great"! We were the only ones in the dining room, but the counter was constantly busy with "take out" orders. The busy "pick up" counter is an indication as to how much the locals like Sam's pizza.
Nice no frills old fashioned eatery on a cute down town location. They Will give you a frosty mug for your root beer if you ask, their corn dogs and fries are very good. Just a nice place to sit and cool off on a hot day and eat, maxwell street type food..
