Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Lake Maggiore. On the south side of the Alps, Lake Maggiore is the second largest lake in Italy. Since the climate is mild year-round, the area is filled with Mediterranean vegetation and exotic plants. Lake Maggiore was featured in Ernest Hemingway's infamous novel, A Farewell to Arms, when the protagonist and his lover must row across the lake in order to escape the Italian Carabinieri (think police in military uniforms). Here's hoping you won't have any run-ins of that nature.

La Lampara restaurant is located just on the street direction Cerro. It's a traditional trattoria with a daily menu during lunch time. we really appreciated the authenticity and the flavour of the homemade cooking. We visited the restaurant during lunch where a 12 euros set lunch was offered. We highly recommend it. Fresh, fast and inexpensive. The menu included house-wine, water, first course, main course and coffee. Honest price. The restaurant didn't offer a pizza service during lunch time, we don't know if it was a temporary disservice or an internal policy. The atmosphere was not memorable. Clean environment but lack of soul. Since it has no view and decorated with a lot of pics, we suggest to patronise it as a daily regular meal purpose instead of a special occasion venue. The service was fast and efficient.

A lovely family run restaurant tucked away in the back streets of Pallanza. There's certainly no view of the lake but this is made up for by the homely nature of the restaurant. Good choice of well cooked food. I had the minestrone soup followed by sea bass with vegetables, both cooked to perfection. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her spaghetti with clams and shrimps. The panna cotta was up to Master Chef (UK TV programme) standards. Very good choice of reasonably priced wine.A nice touch was the husband and wife owners coming to have a chat with us at the end of the meal. Not fine dining, but a really good meal enjoyed by us both.Very reasonably pricedWould happily return.

La Divina Pizzeria is your basic neighborhood Italian eatery. Â The menu is exactly what you'd expect and everything that I've had has been tasty. Â (I especially love their Pulcinella Pizza!) Â If what you want is classic, red-sauce Italian, visit La Divina Pizzeria. Â You won't be disappointed!

Best Pizza Ever! You thought you had good pizza before... this will be a big discovery! Fantastic Pizze, large choice (25+). Thé pizza pasta is magic, tastes like warm crispy bread out of the oven...irresistible! Nice welcome. The place is not easy to find...and full of locals (they know as well the place). Do not look for fancy tables or decoration, go for a tasty discovery of what a pizza truly can be. Not doubt you will enjoy.

A beautifull place in the middle of Isola Pescatori. In a warm atmosphere, you can enjoy our specialties: Fresh fish from our Lake, pasta, pizzas, fresh appetizers, salads and home made desserts. All come with home made bread and good wines from Italy and
We've been to this restaurant for lunch several times over the years and it's always been excellent, this time no exception. You can sit outside with lovely lake views, we prefer the cool of inside where the decor is authentic trattoria style. Food and wine excellent and prices reasonable, especially the fixed price lunch menu. The owner/chef Luca is very friendly as are the staff, who mostly seem to be family members including Luca's lovely dad.

We came here tonight whilst on a 10'day cycle tour of the lakes. It was the best pizza we had during the whole 10 days. A very local restaurant, serving mostly pizzas and a few other dishes. A great place to go if you want to sample village life. Good staff and excellent value for money. The toilets were also very clean.

Chiuso il Mercoledi,
We arrived late so chose Granoduro as one of the closest restaurants to our hotel (it's just outside the main town with all other restaurants). Delicious ravioli and fritto misto, prompt service and good wine. Shame about the mosquitoes! Pizzas looked delicious even though we didn't try them.

In Casteletto lived four days. Two evenings spent in this restaurant. I liked everything very much. Price and quality and service. The beef fillet was incomparable. Colmar rings are the same. The desserts are great. White homemade wine completes this list :)

I was lucky to fall upon this place....not on the lake. This beats out all competition on the lake. Locals thrive on it. Food is fresh and inventive. Food for all tastes. Pastas and starters are sublime. Salads I did not try but are perfect and fresh. Try the SPECIALS/ THEY ARE SO GOOD. If looking for a pizza, perfect place to go. GO GO !!! Book to be sure!
