Sloopy's is an institution on the Northside of La Crosse. For years it was a great place for a casual quality burger and some good conversation. But then the original owner sold and things slipped a little. Good news is that one of the key employees is running it now and it's getting back to what it was. Had a burger (make your own) that was excellent. If you've been away for a while, give it a try.

Picked up a number of pizzas for a university class event - suggested by a number of students. Checked it out ahead of time and I was very impressed. Ambience is not that great, but pizza (and service) is out of this world - have gone back already.

Who would think that a pizza place attached to a video store would have great pizza. Marcos does! Get all three crust toppers and if you use one of their coupons its extremely inexpensive. PLUS you get a sticker for a free movie rental.

After driving for hours, it was quite convenient to find a restaurant in the Days Inn. My husband and I enjoyed the burgers we had, and the staff was very polite. They also offer some locally brewed beers on tap if you like to try different beers. Prices were very reasonable. The menu included appetizers, pizza, sandwiches and burgers if I recall correctly. They also have daily specials. We appreciate your comments. I know the staff in the bar and grill care about what they do and am glad to see you the benefits of their hard work paid off! Well, I've wanted to try this for a few years and our oldest son requested it tonight. We all enjoyed ourselves and the pizzas that I tired were excellent and creative. Expense wise I wouldn't be able to take my large family here frequently, but we'd definitely come back for a special occasion such as a birthday celebration.

Our extended family was in LaCrosse one evening and suddenly realized we were all pretty hungry. As usual, we decided that pizza was the easiest choice. An online search did not reveal many choices for sources that would also allow for speedy pick up. This place worked for both. We ordered the portabella spinach one and a cheeseburger one sans any of the green toppings. They were both tasty, but the latter was especially appropriated because it really did achieve that flavor without a heavy mustard accent.

Service was great as far as on-line reservation of tickets and food. However we canceled the food once we saw how dirty the interior of the building is the moment you step in the door all the way into the bathrooms. The uncleanliness factor kind of ruined the atmosphere for us. The actual theatre area seemed nice. We enjoyed the movie, but they never brought us our drinks.

Checked out the new remodeled Big Al's downtown and enjoyed my experience. The menu has become more focused, ambience similar, but less cluttered. Restrooms are off to the left (and modernized) rather than behind the kitchen - suspect the kitchen was expanded.The pizzas we ate were great (as always). Service good. Pizza and spaghetti was a big hit! Pizza selection ranged from Norma everyday to some out there pies. Generous toppings on the pizzas will not leave you hungry. Staff was great and the General Manager took time out to check on us an even sat down for a nice conversation. Laid and and relaxing.
