First time here. Great little pizza place. Staff is helpful and cheerful. All kinds of toppings. Pick what you want all for the same price. Pizzas were very delicious. Great prices!! And outdoor seating, as well.. Clean restaurant and restrooms. That's a plus!!! We will be back for sure.

Great experience here. Fun place, cool music. Ordered the Jamaican Me Crazy and Notorious P.I.G. Slices at lunch time. Huge slice of pizza and a drink for 6 dollars, can't beat it. Pizza was fresh and delicious, staff was very friendly and made sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Many zany choices for pizza. Highly recommended!

Pizza Here, Kemah

I had a business meeting in this neighborhood scheduled for the following morning, so I drove by Toucan Alley, the raised-sidewalk storefront mall along Bradford Avenue to locate my destination. It was a sunny, quiet Friday afternoon - I especially like Kemah when it's open but not heavily populated, and so I scanned for somewhere I'd never been before, and settled on Pizza Here. That's the restaurant's street name - apparently, its consigliere calls the place Pizza Here Brick Oven Restaurant. There are a few street-side outdoor tables, and a few indoor tables and booths, and one can enter from the Bradford Ave. front door (and perhaps from a rear entrance, where there might be handicapped access - of this I am not certain). Toucan Alley is two stories tall, a short block long and divided into various storefront businesses. The uploaded pictures and others already on TripAdvisor will give the visual flavor of the complex and of Pizza Here: it's a single common room, with a counter where you can read the chalkboard and paper menus and place an order. It's a dim, pleasant space where foodies and other folk, not least gluten-free diners, can relax. Wines and beers supplement the pizza, spaghetti, salad and sandwich offerings, nicely listed on overhead chalk boards, shown in the uploads, where you can also read the pricing. I had a soda, a ham-and-cheese sandwich, and chips--not especially adventurous, definitely not haute cuisine; but filling and fresh. I liked the experience, and will return for a calzone, spaghetti, an salad, or some glutenous pizza. If you prefer gluten-free, you can get any pizza that way here, for a price. Hope to see you there!

Mario's Flying Pizza

Reviewed By BillyPilgrim615

Mario's Flying Pizza is a long-time institution along Route 146, the bayside thoroughfare that links I-10 with the Kemah Boardwalk and the lower Galveston Bay villages like San Leon. Immanent highway construction is about the force a relocation from the current site near the intersection of 146 and Space Center Boulevard, the winding path inland from the Bay to Johnson Space Center and beyond. Mario's was a regular venue my wife and I visited as we coped for a decade or more with her Alzheimer's dementia. It's a pleasant, down-home place with tight parking, wonderful aromas, and lots of families stopping in from work, ball games, fishing expeditions and the adventures of every day. A small TV blares out ball games or game shows across the tables and booths, but conversation dominates the room. The pizzas are exceptional, and the night before my late wife's memorial service, our daughter and her three children stopped in at Mario's with me. We divided a large Mario's Special, and everyone had one shot at the salad bar. Very nice! The house special is a tasty favorite, and the pizza options should meet nearly anyone's preferences; I like anchovies, and they can be added to the part of a pizza I'll be consuming. The place has a one-visit or unlimited salad bar, good Italian desserts, a fair wine and beer selection, good spaghetti, and moderate prices. The managers and waitstaff are friendly and capable. Mario's Flying Pizza is a fine community gathering place which also offers takeout and delivery. I hope the new location (not far from the present site) will offer equal hospitality and maybe a bit more parking. Hope to see you there!

Good beer choices and bar service but the pizza crust was less than average and the chicken died in vain. The mash potatoes seemed to have bbq sauce in them and weren’t great. The vegetables were frozen sometime today.
