Most Popular Pizza food in Jerez De La Frontera, Andalucia, Spain

Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Jerez De La Frontera. Southwest of Seville, Jerez is a well-heeled place. It’s the home of the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and its famous dancing horses; if you’re on a budget or can’t be there for a formal performance, it’s worth dropping in to catch a morning training session. The other major reason to visit Jerez is to sample its most famous product—sherry. You can do this at a number of bodegas associated with the world’s best-known brands, including Bodegas Tio Pepe, The House of Sandeman, Jerez, and Pedro Domecq. They’ll soon have you knowing your amontillado from your oloroso. There’s also an Alcázar, dating back to the time of the Almohads, which features a small mosque, now the chapel of Santa María Real.

I ate here a few years ago with some trackday buddies and back then I wasn’t impressed. However, on this last visit, they have improved the decor considerably and it’s very tastefully done. However, with all restaurants, it’s all about the food and service and let me tell you there is still need for improvements. Firstly, our waiter was very friendly and we managed to converse in Italian, as my Spanish is still in its infancy and his English pretty much the same. We placed our orders, authentic buffalo mozzarella caprese and arancini to start. My daughter ordered the amatricana pasta without chilli and me a pizza. The mozzarella arrived and trust me I know the difference between buffalo mozzarella and normal mozzarella. In my opinion it was not as listed. It was a normal mozzarella drizzled with a very salty pesto and a let down in my opinion. The arancini are quite large and often this can be issue to get them served hot in the middle. This was exactly the case. The meat inside is still cold and again a let down. My daughters pasta arrived with chilli and she couldn’t eat it. As for the pizza, I’m not a huge fan. Although the pizza is cooked in a wood fired oven, the pizza based are way too thin with hardly any crust. As if the dough hasn’t been proved for long enough. They are nothing like authentic Italian pizzas, trust me I should know. At no stage during the entire meal did any of the waiting staff ask if everything was ok. I find it a little strange as it’s a great way to gain customer feedback and possibly pass back to the kitchen or floor management. However, I’m really glad to see the place is busy with lots of happy customers. Even at midnight which is when we arrived. Keep up the good work.
