Went to celebrate my birthday for all you can eat lobster on a Sunday afternoon. No lines at that hour. Seafood/lobster was not fresh and extremely disappointing. Other fare was just ok. Nothing special. This is a dry casino - no alcohol served except in nightclub. Free coffee/sodas.
We stopped there for lunch. Pizza, salad & soda buffet $6.95. More economical than McDonalds, Togo's or most other fast food type restaurants, plus fresh! The crust is homemade and has an excellent texture and flavor. Nice assortment of fresh salad fixins'. Soda, The sausage & linguisa are provided by a local butcher, Swingles. Family owned & operated. I hear they have a branch in Ione also. If your going to Kirkwood to ski, it would be a good stop before you head home to the bay area.
We were on a road trip and was hungry for some lunch, but we didn't want fast-food burgers. We saw Mtn. Mike's Pizza and I said how about pizza? We went in and ordered a small olive/mushroom/pepperoni to go. It was cut wonderfully in small pieces that made it easy to eat in the vehicle. The pizza did NOT skimp on the toppings and the crust was cooked to perfection. I did fined the sauce a little spicy, but good.
Jackson Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Jackson
We recently ate at the Jackson Round Table and had a pleasant experience as we have had several times before. The restaurant is very pleasant, clean and friendly. It seems to be a go to place for families and groups. The service is very good and the pizzas are well prepared. Although it is a chain restaurant, it could certainly been a private local place to get some really good pizza and relax in comfortable surroundings.
