It was incorporated on February 14, 1908. The city is in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County. Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park is currently under construction in the city and when completed around 2020 will be the new home of both the National Football League's Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers. The city is also close to Los Angeles International Airport.

Got out of LAX after a 4h delayed flight and 2h queue to get a rental car... we were exhausted, tired and hungry and we decided to stop straight away near by for a quick dinner.Thanks to the reviews and map in TripAdvisor, we visited Shakeys Pizza. It was late and about 30min before closure but they welcomed us and prepared a very tasty margherita pizza very quickly. It was delicious.The venue itself is pretty basic and cheap as any other franchising of pizza restaurants. Apart from that, food was delicious and the overall price excellent.Recommended after a long flight!

I had a Hawaiian pizza while staying at the Comfort Inn next door. Cheese or pepperoni are only $5, mine was a little more. All are the same large size. Service was fast and friendly. They also sell bottled drinks.

my wife and 2 daughters were coming from an international travel day, and had a lunch at terminal 1 LAX. We were seated after about a 10 minute wait and we had very good service from the staff. Our family had tortilla soup and chicken club sandwiches. The food was served quick and was fresh. They also have pastas and pizza all looked very good. Nice break from the craziness of the terminal.
