It was an older couple we met on the street who recommended us this restaurant, after we asked where can we find their typical Sarda cuisine, they were so kind to walk us several street to this hidden gem. We tried the typical Sarda cuisine which were the assortment of salami, cheese, calamari, and their variety of meat from the grill. Just. E sure you are very hungry because their portion of pizza is huge. I also tried their tomato broth intestines, really good. Highly recommend and the price was fair.

My friends and I LOVED this place !Pizza were delicious and the waiters very nice.We didn't speak italian very well, so they patiently explained us what we wanted to know about the menu.I recommand it !

We discover this place by luck. We were just taking pictures of the sunset an we just walk in to this small place.Only plastic tables and chairs under the roof on a cliff/mountain. It is not a restaurant like real restaurant with walls. It is kind of open space with no walls only with roof and stunning view over the endless sea and the you can watch a sunset "theater" from here.I do not remember exactly but I think they're offering only pizza and beverages. But do not hesitate to try the pizza. It was nice with fresh ingredients. The service was nice, helpful and friendly.

Food lovely and well presented -napkins and tablecloths - hotel traditional inside but yet very modern - we stayed 2 nights. 3km south of Iglesias. Bit difficult to find but explained this on hotel review. Wine list good. They also do pizzas. We had pizzas one night and a proper 3 course meal the other night - would definitely return - very good meal and for us the food was almost as good as the no 1 restaurant on trip advisor for this area where we had gone one day for lunch.

This pizza restaurant is a short walk from the centre of Iglesias so despite the rave reviews on this esteemed site as we approached it I was beginning to wonder just how busy it would be on a midweek evening in September. Turned out it was packed. And it's a pretty big place! There were families, couples, groups of teenagers, old ladies... you name it, they were here! Mostly locals. In fact in seems to be something of a local institution. But was it any good? Well, the pizzas are pretty decent but not to die for. There's a huge list to choose from but closer examination reveals there are lots of variations on a theme so it's not as intimidating as it looks. If you can't find something you fancy you can order off menu as my lovely wife did. Two pizzas and one large beer to share came in at just â¬20. Good pizza, good value but doesn't really warrant it's number one ranking.Good evening , thank you for taking a minute of his time to tell his experience with us . Maybe not always able to assert ourselves as a local in first place , however, I assure you that as commitment and desire for what we do we're number one. If it is still in place is to visit us again . Best regards.

Pleasant attentive service - as ever a good range of pizze. I had the Vesuvio which was v good. She had a rice & veg dish - the rice was perhaps a bit undercooked but otherwise delicious. Two mains, one large beer cost â¬25 - good food, good value.Recommended

During a rainy afternoon, we sat down for dinner at this restaurant in the centre of Iglesias. The dishes were tasteful and the staff very helpful. The local red wine was a bargain!

On the basis of Trip Advisor reviews, we headed to Sa Matracca on Friday evening. We selected the fish tourist menu which comprised 4 generous portions of fresh & flavoursome anti pasti seafood dishes plus a seafood pasta of choice. Added to this wine and water plus coffee and liqueur to finish, resulted in a most enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant was not full as it was early (by Friday night Italian standards) but there was a nice buzz around the place and attentive service. This was one of the best we have found, nice fresh food and reasonable prices, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good dining experience in the old town.

Nice variety on the menu (oh, except we're out of....) but the food, while quite edible, is unremarkable. I had a bready pizza, but the Orata (fish) was well-cooked (if only somewhat flavorful). They had some drinks (but we're out of...)...I'll give them a tiny bit of room, seeing as it was St. Patricks Day and we came before the big crowds...but the service was insanely slow for being empty...Out of the way.
