The best meal I have had in a long time. Great service throughout the meal. We had the meatballs and mushrooms for starter which were delicious. Large portions for both starter and mains. We can't wait to come back again and try something new off the menu and a pudding ( if we have room) 5 stars all the way, would recommend this place to anyone.

It had been some times since we last visited this converted old chapel of a Prezzo in Hailsham. We found that it had not changed in the meantime and is still offering excellent food and very friendly, welcoming service. This time the restaurant was slightly busier than our previous visits and this time the seating was packed a little too close...as we had a fairly strident, excited woman talking at the next table throughout most of our meal. That was the only downside! For starters, I enjoyed the baked, filled mushrooms and for main course I had a seafood risotto. That was delicious with a side order of tenderstem broccoli and cauliflower ~ absolutely beautiful. For dessert, we both took the coffee and sample sweet option ~ having a double espresso with the lemon cannoli. Very tasty although a little bit too sweet for my taste...the lemon filling having lost some of its citrus bite. That was my only criticism of the food. The espresso coffee was finest, strong flavour and a great crema cap. With this meal, we had pre-booked and were using a tastecard. All went absolutely to plan including sorting out the bill at the end. Excellent
I felt completely humiliated as I had my young kids there when one of the chefs an Asian looking man said he's a stupid man ! Talking about me to his other colleagues, there were no other customers there. The waiter who served me waved the £15 notes I had given him and asked his colleagues "has anyone got money " I felt so upset but kept my cool as my young children were present and I didn't want to make any fuss. My race ( black) might have been a reason for their unfriendly behaviour. The two men involved were non white however and this attitude I find shameful as they should know better. The other staff were kind and respectful and the pizza was nice. Just two bad apples spoilt it hence I'm never going there again.
