A great selection for people out of town. It has a very welcoming vibe and a small town feel. It is a great restaurant to start drinking at before a night out in royal oak or to end a night of drinking either way it should be a stop for any royal oak visit.

Located in the lively downtown city of Royal Oak, this restaurant/bar serves typical American fare- hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, fish & chips, & pizza. I had the fish & chips, & my girlfriend had a salad. Both were okay, but nothing out of the ordinary. Drinks (wine) were generous, staff was friendly. In fairness, we found out from a family member after our visit that this restaurant is known for their great pizza, so we will return soon to check it out. Reasonably priced with a nice atmosphere.
Has to be one of the best places i've ever ordered pizza from. Friday night called for pizza so we ordered the Belly Buster and some bacon and onion breadsticks for pick up - both excellent. The pizza being packed full of all the toppings. So delicious and cheaper than the chains even for an extra large. Great service, quick to answer the phone, great food. I'll certainly be back to try out even more of their pizzas.

Found this place while walking elsewhere -- huge beer selection, both bottles and draft. Had a good Pasty (UP Michigan baked meat pie enclosed in a crust) with a generous supply of hot gravy, with Bell's Best Brown, it was wonderful, and economical. Staff was friendly and knew the menu and beers; menu is a bit limited but good. Outside area I noted is Dog Friendly. Not fine dining -- plasticware for cutlery & beer glasses, but friendly open atmosphere, generous portions, friendly service, local and Michigan craft beers & food highlighted.
Popped in on a Friday night and service was pretty quick. Great variety of pizzas and great staff. Pepperoni bread was left a bit wanting, but the BBQ beef pizza sure made up for it - delicious! We'll certainly be back.

The Green Lantern is an old school, neighborhood bar and pizza parlor. Those of us who work here in our original Madison Heights location take pride in being part of a pizza parlor that's one of the very best anywhere. We invite you to make yourself at ho
This is by far the best pizza in metro Detroit area. Been coming here since 1982. It does get very busy on wknd nights, but worth it. A must when in Madison Hts, Michigan. When Iâm not out here, I will visit the one in Clinton Twp.

We were in the area with friends so decided to enjoy dinner together before the show. BEST Italian food ever. Lukus was our server and took the time to explain the many excellent choices of food & drink they offer. Although it isn't close to home, we all agreed we would have to return. So many items to choose from ~ it could take us a few visits to try them all. Great value considering the quality of the food and excellent service.

New American restaurant serving shareable plates and a wide selection of curated drinks. Music venue featuring bluegrass, folk, Americana, and blues. Private events available.
Love this place. Even after my new diabetes diagnosis I can still find plenty of options. We used to get the 'Filthy Animal' pizza which I miss, so have one for me. The menu changes but other favorites include the rigatoni alla norcina (arguably their best dish), wood fired broccoli, the 'Game of Thrones' pork shank among others. Good service. Fun interior. Inventive cocktails and a decent wine list. Nice outdoor seating in the summer. An attached area for live music.

First time in Detroit and everyone said I had to visit Buddyâs. Service was quick and pleasant, pizza was good but nothing to write home about. Kind of tastes like Pizza Hut to me. They also messed up on my friendâs pizza, and they took it off the bill.Cee, we're sorry to hear we've missed the mark with you, as it's essential for us to get orders correct. I tried Louis on a recommendation of a friend and was impressed. The pizza itself is simple, standard square Detroit style pizza with a very very nice crunchy crust to it. The sauce is just right, not to sweet or spicy and the level of cheese is perfect. I didnât not try anything else as I was only there for the pizza and would definitely come back. Louis is easily comparable or better to other top pizza spots in Detroit.
