Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Hammamet. Sunbathing, al fresco dining and late-night discos are a way of life in Hammamet, the Tunisian St-Tropez. Located on the fertile Cap Bon Peninsula, about 40 miles south of Tunis, the bayfront resort is surrounded by verdant hills and citrus groves. When not basking on Hammamet Beach, browse the markets for local pottery or wander through the medina (old city) with walls that date to 1500. Summer brings festival fever to the city with plenty of music and theatrical offerings.

Decided to give this place a try as the restaurant we were going to was closed. What a pleasant surprise! The waiter was very helpful (may have been one of the owners) and the food was excellent. We had starters of fish soup and pasta followed by pizzas and another pasta dish. The pizzas are HUGE!!!!! 2 people can share one (which we did when we visited a second time? Complimentary bread and antipasti provided. The cost for 4 of us including 2 bottles of wine was 185 dinar - about £70.00We returned a week later and were treated like regulars - we asked for the bill and were given free lemon sorbets with a strawberry drizzle each - yummy!!!The only downside are the toilets - they do need some TLC!!

I strongly recommend the green tea here is very good ... The burger is also very nice and more of a home made burger than the usual frozen ones ...

We had a local Tunisia salad, some leaves were withered... The pizza wasn't great, but that applies to most places in Tunis...At least they have a wood oven here.In the lamb dish there were a lot of low quality garnishes and little meat. However, it is popular with locals, so they must know what to order... We clearly didn't.

Last night we had the joy of coming across this restaurant. We are all inclusive but didnt like what was on offer. We asked a taxi driver to take us to a nice italian, he dropped us off next door to zozos but we ended up ther........what a godsend! Wd both had the ribeye with mushroom sauce and it was amazing just melted in the mouth. We were given bread and some olives before the meal arrived and were offered some ice cream after but we were stuffed. Thecsteak which came with chips and veg was only 20 dinars so £8 add in the diet colas we had and a grand total of 45 dinars or £18 for a meal you would easily pay £50 back home for. Outside seating inside lovely and cosy. Staff attentive without being overbearing. We are all inc but will definitely be back next week.
