Firmly at the top of the list of Central Scotland's best Italian restaurants, it's our unique canal-side location, warm welcome, genuine Italian dishes made from the best ingredients, fine wine and regular entertainment that all adds up to make Gambero Ro
Service was not the best. Food was pretty average. Ordered a focaccia with garlic and mozzarella. It was over cooked and tasteless. Minestrone soup also tasteless. Pepper steak. The steak was delicious but the pepper sauce had very bland. £100 for two people. We had one drink each....overpriced for what we had. It was very disappointing

Authentic Italian Restaurant, located in Falkirk's City Centre, across the road from the retail park. Passione Per Vino E Cibo Passion for Food And Wine
This restaurant deserves the praise of its followers. Lovely atmosphere, a bit modern but very comfortable, great staff and some very innovative selections on the menu. I mean, haggis and black pudding pizza. Actually very nice.Very refreshing after some very bland UK food.

My wide, daughter and I called here after driving from Wales for a late dinner. The owner was incredibly friendly, very polite and chatted as our food was being done. The meal itself was lovely. We all had different things, and all tried each others. Food was done to perfection. Highly recommended to locals and weary travellers! Free parking opposite, easy to find off the A9. Worth a visit

I feel my rating is harsh, but if I liken it with places I have awarded a 4 too... it wouldn't be fair. This is a place I'd never been before, it doesn't look much from outside, my mate persuaded me to try. It's a strange place. Imagine The Fonz in Happy Days, the restaurant looks a bit like the one in that. It's got a sparse feel, an old vibe. It's clean, it's in decent repair but during the day it felt sparse. At night apparently it's packed and comes to life! The stereo system has quite a reputation for good sound. My own experience was a quiet pizza and a beer with mates. The pizzas are small, but the selection is really different. They are not frozen and baked, these are real original pizzas made on site to novel recipes. The beer selection was good, even if the bar staff didn't seem to know what they had...I feel like I'm damning this place with feint praise, but I don't mean to. I want to go back and take the kids. I want to go back at night and see it alive. I would love to try the other pizzas, I'm curious, intrigued... That has to count for something.Don't go expecting a plush romantic destination, go looking for something a bit different, a bit bar food, a bit kitsch, ride the wave... I'm curious to see where it goes myself, the place has a long standing good reputation for being a local institution.

We decided to pop into Pizza Hut before going to the cinema , our server made our visit ! She was bubbly, helpful and friendly without being overbearing .We were advised of the special for that day and we elected to get the deal that gave us pizza two sides and dessert for £30 including unlimited salad . It was a great deal we couldnât finish all the food ( although space was left for the sharing cookie dough - which was AMAZING !) we were offered to take our remaining food home, we didnât as we were almost rolling out the door ! Will definitely be back as it was easily the best pizza Iâve had in years ! And seriously the cookie dough wasSo so good !
