This is our first visit to Halstatt, we saw cafe near the lake, we want to have some coffee and good time. Coffees were cold, service was slow and waiter was extremely aggressive.Our experience was very disappointing...We did reply to your additional comment from Jan 23. As it has been your sincere desire to send us your negative feedback even twice, we want to assure you again that we are very sorry that you have been disappointed in our premise.Anyhow, we hope that you had another nice stay in beautiful Austria.

This place has great food - the baked lasagna bolognese was excellent as was the bacon wrapped, cheese filled sausage. Has a nice outdoor patio and pleasant indoor seating as well. Service was great. Highly recommend this place for anyone staying in Obertraun.

Three of us dined here recently. The restaurant was fairly quite and the meal was nothing too fancy but it was enjoyable and I would go back. Service was friendly. The blue cheese gnocchi was something different and the pizza was pretty good too. I would recommend it.

Small, quiet and friendly, I stayed in Hallstatt for 4 days and even though the place is beautiful the restaurants were at best mediocre.......my last night here we were looking for somewhere to have a lovely meal to celebrate my partners birthday. Well this is what I was looking for.....it's not fine dining it's not even that special but the place is spot on. The owner is a really friendly (English speaking) man and the cosy comfortable atmosphere is what I was looking for......it's pizza or pasta type of place but don't let that put you off. Set in a back street alleyway it's off the beaten path and just what we needed to unwind from a day taking in the sights. Wish we'd found this place sooner .

We had a nice evening here with good Austrian Sekt and white wine. The locally caught fish is especially good.The service was a bit better than usual in central Europe. Our waiter didn't, for once, start clearing the table until everyone in the party had finished eating.Highly recommendable.Dear PeterG,thank you for your great review!We are happy that we were able to make your evening beautiful. Nice place inbetween the Austrian alps. Service is friendly and accurate. The food is quite good: The tomato and mozarella salad is awesome. The lasagne is absolutely recommendable. The pizzas are average. The price level is acceptable and the portions are big. No complaints.

We sat down on the almost empty terrace on a hot Saturday after 2 pm. I orderd fish with parsley-postatoes, my hubend tried the pork knuckle with dumpling. The fish came with a serve-yourself salad. We very very satisfied in the end, the portions very huge and tasty.Thank you very much for your positive review.
