Il Terrazzo at the Italian Club in Bedfordview is really a spacious common area with picnic style tables and chairs. The menu seems to feature all the classic Italian items. Pizza, pasta etc.I was very pleased with the pizza that I received, but we waited about an hour for it because âthe kitchen forgot to make itâ according to our waitress, who took 50 minutes to advise us of this fact...This is the reason I will advise realistic expectations when visiting. You can expect good honest food, but there are not many servers around, so accept to wait. The venue is a family-focused space where people linger and have multiple courses. If you want quiet, ambient and upscale dining - this is not the place for you.

We enjoyed a family birthday celebratory dinner at Trabella recently.This restaurant has a wide and varied choice of pizza and pasta options and offers some of the best and most unusual combinations in Johannesburg.Their Thin crust pizza âs are divine and to die for !The evening started with the Artichoke,Avocado and nuts Salad with grated Mozzarella .This was accompanied with the excellent and unique Porcini Foccacia .A great combination and fully enjoyed by all.Being a Pizza night for all guests we had Margherita / Tracyâs Vegetarian special/ Potato ,Onion and creamy Feta / Three cheese / Eggplant Parmigiana /Artichokes and brown mushroom (gluten free base ).All finger licking good thin crust pizzaâs with fresh and delicious toppings !The peanut butter cream cheese cake,a signature desert is pure heaven .

By chance we ended up a the most most amazing restaurant - Pizza del Forno in Van Buuren Road, Bedfordview. The service was great, with Thando being helpful, quick and making us feel at home. The Melenzane bake with brinjals was delicious. The staff and management (Tony) were exceptionally friendly and made sure that we had everything we need, PLUS those little extras. The atmosphere was cosy, warm and inviting, and the live music added that extra touch. This restaurant offers much more than just "eating out". It is excellent in all respects. Can't wait to go back to try the famous chicken.Highly recommended!

Had dinner with friends. The food is amazing. Pizzas are delicious and there is a great selection of pizzas and pastas. There is a relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant and a interesting selection of specials on the boards all around the restaurant. A good place to go and share a few different things. We went on a weeknight and it didn't look necessary to book in advance. Don't be put off by where it is situated.Thank you for a lovely review :-)

Eaten here many times and had many good meals here. Delicious food with interesting special dishes. Our favourite is the fillet with porcini risotto - the risotto is absolutely divine and fillet always superbly cooked.

We recently visited Osteria Rossa for a family birthday get together. Etzio the owner made sure it was a special evening and took such good care of us, as did his staff. We tried their cocktails which were amazing and ordered a couple of platters of starters to share which were fantastic. We then ordered a couple of their large square pizzas for the table. It was the best Pizza we have ever had! The atmosphere is viby and the restaurant is modern and chic and you almost feel like you are in Italy. Definitely the best place to go for a special occasion that won't break the bank.

I love the dispensers that dispense wine and other drinks. We all ordered gin and tonics and got them in a dispenser with all the garnish, though I would have preferred my own double with sugar free tonic!We all ordered half portions, because the portions were just too big. Less is more sometimes. We were still charged full price for the dishes. The room where we were eating was very dingy and quite depressingI liked the cheese being grated on our pasta at the table, though question if it was real parmesan, as the texture and flavour were not of parmesan as I know it.Good evening, thank you for your detailed review. The Gin tower's are only made on order by the customer, which choose their favourite Gin and their tonic preference,was the tower perhaps ordered by another guest at the table, as we would have served all the Gin's individually as per order with a sugar free tonic.Regarding the charge of full portions, i would like to look in to this, please would you be so kind to email me that bill,as only the management can place the order and over ride the system to order half portions. We will gladly refund the difference that was over charged.The Parmesan we use at the table's and in the kitchen is imported Grana Padano only, please would you contact me on 083 324 9901, as i would like to rectify this experience, please send me that bill to [email protected] , have a great weekend , regards iL Gusto Team.

Il Forno's is always a sure bet, amazing food at amazing prices. They are also wheelchair accessible with a steel ramp that they installed from the parking lot (Thanks) . Staff is always friendly and service is great. Pizza is very very very good here and you can taste the quality of there ingredients. Would recommend this to anyone that loves Italian food.

Saturday night dinner at Vinis is a reasonably frequent occurance. There is live music which is loud enough to be heard and enjoyed but its in the background and doesn't drown out conversation. There is a wide menu covering all tastes. We were seated quickly enough and drinks were delivered. The meal service however was slow, and we had to ask our waiter a number of times where our food order was. We had a halloumi table salad and focaccia to start and followed it with a baby chicken, prawns and several pizzas. While the order was slow in coming out it was perfect when it arrived. All the meals where up to the standard we have come to expect from Vinis. Service can improve a bit
