Lived in Italy for 12 years....Have eaten here multiple times over the last several years and have never been disapointed. The food is very much on par with the food my family and I enjoyed in Northern and Southern Italy. The pizza is awesome (I like to have them put one of the seafood pasta dished on a pizza (instead of pasta) nothing better than a pizza with mussels, shrimp, clams on it (not to mention the looks it gets when they bring it out))...The pastas are awesome.....and the antipasta salid is a great family starter...we usually order it and split it as an appetizer If you go as to sit in Nick's section.....he will take care of youHonestly best Itialian food i've had in NC.

My family and I are pizza people. We will go out of our way to find a good slice or 3 of pizza. Since our original favorite local place dropped the ball, we have been searching for a new favorite close by and we found it! We ordered a large pizza with pep and mushrooms until they showed us their idea of a large, lol. We went with the medium and had some to take home after stuffing ourselves to capacity. The crust is leaning towards thin and is rather flexible when hot out of the oven... which is my favorite kind of crust. We loved our 1st visit so much, we returned 2 weeks later just to make sure the 1st visit was just a fluke. It was still just as good even with different staff cooking the 2nd time.

We went there after church and were pleasantly surprised. If you want atmosphere and ambience, go somewhere else. While it once was a drive-in with the outdoor stalls still present, the restaurant offered good, hot comfort food that was served promptly. The business was brisk. We each had hamburger steak with two sides and bread. The price was reasonable. It was my first time there. My wife had not been there in a long time,

Authentic Italian. If you measure Italian by the standards: spaghetti with meatballs, lasagna and fettuccine alfredo, this place rocks. The service was 5-stars. The seafood fra diavolo was disappointing (clams and mussels) but the sauce was excellent, and the grilled tuna looked and tasted like it came off an outdoor barbecue...would have been better grilled on a flat surface.

We had a wonderful dinner here this evening. Our server Jennie was very attentive and made great recommendations. The Mellow Mushroom has a bar atmosphere with a good selection of appetizers and beers. We had the Spinach Artichoke Dip and Meatball Trio appetizers paired with a small House Special pizza. That, along with a beer, was plenty of food for both of us and we brought home a couple of extra slices.

My friend and I had a nice lunch here...chose to eat inside, although I liked the option of dining outside. It's a pretty large place inside, with lots of tables nicely placed, not too close together. Once inside at our table I realized how dark it was...very dark! The lighting was so low that I actually got out my iPhone and used the flashlight feature to read the menu. My personal-sized pizza was super generous, more like 12" instead of the menu's 10". Way too much for me to eat, but good enough for me to bring home. My friend had a Spinach & Ricotta Calzone...again, huge. Generous portions and a nice place, but for this visit, not particularly outstanding food.
