I went for a solo pizza one evening, recommended by a local fruit and veg shop nearby. It is hugely popular, so clearly doing something right. Reservation absolutely necessary. I ordered a diavola with onions - the waiter suggested some fried bacala to start with, which sounded nice and indeed was good, but a bit pricey at â¬8. The pizza was hot, but not quite to my taste. Thin and and a little biscuity, and with nine of the smokiness you'd expect from a traditional wood fired oven. I had a soufflé for pudding. Not home made, and not good value at â¬5. Bill was â¬24 inc water and coffee - i'd probably expect better value.

The Osteria Antichi Sapori restaurant, immersed in the vineyards of the Pyrrhus Canal, near the renowned Selva di Fasano and the road to Alberobello, is an ideal place to rediscover and enjoy the delicacies of typical Apulian cuisine. The Osteria Antichi
We stumbled upon Antichi Sapori on our way from Polignano a Mare to Ostuni and were treated to the best meal we had in Italy. Everything was perfect about it - sitting outside with a gentle breeze blowing, tables covered with white linen - the epitome of an Italian lunch. We shared Puglia burrata and salumi, bocconcini and tomato salad, amongst other dishes. The winning dish was undoubtedly the lasagna -I've never tasted such delicate lasagna, with paper-thin sheets of pasta covered in a delectable meat sauce, very light on the cheese, which was beyond perfection. The staff was welcoming and service was impeccable. If travelling in Puglia, this osteria is well worth a detour. You won't be disappointed. After months that we can answer, we remember the votive stay in our restaurant in the cool of our two trees. We thank you for the nice words spent in the treatment we have reserved. We are waiting for you on your next trip here in Puglia. Peppino Laterza

I've been to this family owned restaurant many times over the years and it continues to be a great place to go for well-prepared, traditional Puglian cuisine. Set in an underground cellar with high vaulted ceilings, the cozy dining room is comfortable and the service is friendly, professional and helpful. Prices are more than reasonable considering the quality of the offerings.

I was pleasantly surprised by this large out of the way restaurant that is not in the usual tourist areas. Itâs large with impeccable grounds outside and plenty of parking.Apparently there is a casual side and takeaway and a more classic dining restaurant. I lunched in the restaurant, service was good and attentive but a little slow at times the restaurant being very busy as is usual on Sundays. The menu is only in Italian but with many varied dishes I had not tried before. I opted for seared tuna in pistachio which was perfectly cooked and delicious. My wifeâs pasta was unfortunately tasteless and bland but my spada was very good, nothing exceptional though. I will certainly visit n here again but perhaps on a quieter evening .

Serving the local food but not really with any style. Ok in terms of what we paid, but wouldn't rush back. Nice interior though and friendly staff.

We had the antipasti, a pizza, some bombette pork and a lemon cake . Whilst the pizza and lemon cake were good. The pork was tasteless and fatty. The baked potatoes were inedible. Disappointed.

We visited this restaurant three times in 2 weeks and the food is always excellent. Anti pasti is huge in quantity and great in quality. Pizza is very crunchy and tasteful. Pasta dishes are al dente as they should be . Wine is locally sourced mostly but also bottled wines from all over Italy are available. Very family friendly place as they took great care of our 2 yr old and 2 month old. Owner Michele is a real gem of a host. Highly recommended!

A small neighborhood pizza place, staff is very friendly. The gas-fired oven is used to provide a very good product: both our pizzas had a great crust, nicely done sauce and good toppings. The wine section is binary: one red or one white, either for â¬15. Total including the wine was â¬30.
