Reviews on Pizza food in Es Castell, Balearic Islands, Spain. Es Castell (Spanish: Villacarlos) is a small municipality in eastern Menorca in the Balearic Islands, Spain. The town was founded in 1771 by British Col. Patrick Mackellar and was originally called Georgetown in honour of King George III; however, it takes its current name from the large fort nearby, known to the British as St. Philip's Castle. Col. Patrick MacKellar (Argyllshire 1717-1778) was the chief engineer of Menorca and his house today is known as Son Granot. Es Castell celebrates its Foundation Day on 1 June with 18th-century themed festivities, in which the Municipality itself, St. Philip's Castle Foundation, Son Granot and other institutions participate.

Pizzeria and Pasta Restaurant
We happened upon this place after attempting to visit punt7. Which was closed even though it should have been open, however, thank goodness because we ordered a pizza each, and they were honestly the best Iâve ever eaten! I chose the Quattro formaggio and my fiancé had mozzarella mushroom and sausage. Of the 4 cheeses the blue cheese stood out the most, on a pizza it was amazing. The base was so thin, yet not too crispy, just perfection. The mushroom and sausage combination was gorgeous. Very generous portions. We were the only people in the restaurant for lunch, which is a real shame as it was delicious, we did see a couple of people collecting takeaway pizza though. Itâs really worth a visit and Iâm so glad that circumstances lead to us finding this gem of a place!

Ate here several times for lunch and dinner during our stay. The set menus at 16 or 23 euros are great value with large portions, good quality food, great wine all included. Friendly staff, good service, great view of harbour.

Having originally planned to go back to Roma which is now closed we were stuck. Had promised the kids an Italian night and we stumbled across this place. Busy, a good sign, so had to wait for a table but it was worth it. Super-efficient and one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Excellent value as well. Would definitely go back again

Italian Pizzeria Restaurant. Pizzas baked with lena, pasta and homemade desserts Italian wines. Also gluten free
As my boyfriend love to eat pizza wherever we go, he chose this Italian restaurant. Apart of us there was nobody else but it didnât change our mind to stay there so we took table outside and we enjoyed the weather, drinks, atmosphere and the waiter was very friendly and helpful . Pizza looks so good and was delicious ( thin dough, fresh ingredients...).If You are in Mahon walking down the centre I would recommend to visit and try pizza over there ( if youâre pizza lover like my boyfriend ).

Family owned restaurant which offers not only pizza but meat and fish. We've got a special menu of the day which costs 16 euros and includes 2 dishes (to select within a lot of options), bread, dessert and a drink. We've got homemade desserts. Our terrace
My partners pizza was great. However, I ordered grilled chicken breast. It was fine until I encountered the raw part! Needless to say I didnât eat any more of it. I pointed it out when my plate was collected and the waiter was huffy about it and made some comment about âonly a little bitâ. But, to give them their due, the manageress brought the bill and explained that we would not be charged for my meal.Needless to say we wonât be going back.Thank you so much for your comment. We are happy to read that your partner enjoyed the pizza.Regarding your comment about the waiter who told you it was just a little. The waiter was probably Miquel, who doesn't speak too good english but is a very nice person. I asked him and he explained me he tried to say that the chef prefers not to cook too much the chicken because if not it is dry and he prefers to cook it a little so that the people can decide if they want it more cooked or not. We are sorry for the misunderstanding, but we would NEVER argue when a dish is not good. When chicken is raw we can always cook it a little more, but if it is too cooked we can't, this is the reason. Again, we beg you for sorry! And we feel also sorry that you couldn't enjoy a better meal.We always try to do our best, sometimes we do it better sometimes worse, but all the team wishes you a great stay in Menorca and if you ever come back and feel like giving us a second chance, we will be really happy.Kind regards,InésCEO La Caprichosa
