Nothing beats wood-fired pizza and Buona Forchetta knows it. This is thin crust with authentic Italian styles. My favorite was the Sofia with prosciutto, artichoke hearts, mozzarella. Service at lunch is attentive. Adding to the Italian style is house baked bread with olive oil, balsamic and a lentil-oil dip. Extensive wine list (pricey!) weighted to Italian labels. I recommend lunch or just after. Weekends are very crowded. Lunch for three individual pizzas, dessert, and draft beers ran to $80 before tip.

This no frills NY style pizza place serves a killer pizza by the slice, with lots of variations for you to try. There are a few tables inside the little, open shop. Just outside the door are a couple of tables, in a lovely and large grass courtyard. And you're across the PCH from the ocean. I'm a particular fan of the BBQ pizza and the Hawaiian.

Encinitas has a lot of pizza. This place is absolutely worth a stop. Itâs small, very friendly staff and a great selection of toppings. Thinner crust and great flavor. Be forewarned the large pizzas are HUGE. We are in the weekend and they were perfectly happy to make a personal pizza(usually a weekday offering) for our young son. Just a great place all around.

We are visiting in Carlsbad and wanted to have a pizza party for 21 people. A friend suggested I use Best Pizza and Brew as they deliver with all plates, napkins,etc. What a great suggestion as Mitchell Millar and Carlos were happy to help us put together a menu for the crowd. Mitchell even gave me his cell phone number so we could text whenever I had a question! Their pizzas are thin crust and the toppings are very fresh and unique combos or traditional. The Best salad had people taking seconds and commenting on the dressing which was delicious. They included 30 knots (gratus) which were very good.We have had lunch at the restaurant twice and the variety of beers and food menu allows for more than pizza. Great place to eat! We will be back!

I'll start by saying pizza is not a go to item for me, but we are new to the area and I thought why not? If you're visiting down here and have a beach day or a pool day... hey ever a Legoland day this is a great spot to finish the day. You walk in and look around to find a few huge booths out front (seats maybe 12) with big tables to eat on in between plus tables on the side. There is just a very cool feel at the place. You just feel happy, maybe it's the easy free parking...Food is off the chart. Salads, apps and the main star.. pizza of all kinds. Or build your own custom deal. I get this barbecue chicken that is the best ever had. And the next night at home, better! Or cold!Beer is on point. Lots of local stuff and a staff that knows their beer. Decent wine list. I go with a nice Malbec. Wife goes chard.Service is so fun and passionate about the food and drinks. Great spot!

The artisan pizza was delicious. They have many varieties to choose from and all looked delectable. The crust is the percent size-not too thick or too thin. The gluten free pizza crust was the best Iâve ever had! The sauce could be a bit more plentiful but was quite adequate. It was truly one of the better pizzas Iâve ever had, as their toppings are plentiful and large! The size of the pizza is six slices or about 12 inches and our family of four each ordered one and we still took home a pizza and a half. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It was a beautiful night so we chose to eat outside and people watch. The food came fast and the service staff was quick and efficient. If craving pizza this is the place to come.

Leucadia Pizza makes great regular and GF pizza. Their Apple Walnut salad is a great starter. We were also very impressed with their updated facilities and patio. Theyâre conveniently located across from Moonlight Beach at the corner of Encinitas Blvd and the PCH (HWY 101).

From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, we were continuously pleased by everything we ordered. Cool funky little space, all windows looking towards the coast, a nice big bar and a sweet little deck await whatever type of visit youâre looking for. Frederico took amazing care of us at the bar, helped us make solid decisions while offering up others on his own. Literally everything from the fresh bread and garlic tomato dipping sauce at the start to our entrees and wine selection were superb. Weâll definitely be back for a quick bite at the coast. Ciao!
