Left Edinburgh at noon to FrankfurtArrived after 2000 in Emmerich and was guided by the hotel manager to try the Italian restaurant Pizzeria La TavernaA short walk and on this cool winter eveningI enjoyed a great Italian mealOne thing got wrong!They only had Merlot as open wine and this is not my favourite However the meal was excellent and that made it up for the wineReally can recommend this place to any lovers of Italian food

We were very pleased with the friendly family atmosphere of the restaurant and its staff. Those dining with us were locals and when we said we wanted a good, simple meal, this was their choice! The pizza was excellent in taste, freshness and flavor as was the salad. Add a nice red wine and diner was great; just what we wanted.

Im hinteren Teil gibt es einen kleinen Raum mit mit nur wenigen Tischen. Es macht einen sehr sauberen Eindruck, Tische werden immer schnell wieder gesäubert!Brot und Dip gibt es vom Haus und die Speisekarte ist klein aber fein!Ein wenig Geduld muss man haben, wenn viel los ist aber das Warten lohnt sich!

Great looking restaurant with nice wooden surroundings and white linen tablecloth. Food was excellent although partner complained about steak not being rare and suspected ***. I had the large tigerprawns, cooked to perfection with a delicious side dish of braised veggies.Waiter was not nice however.
