A family go to that's been around for years. The people here are great. They remodeled in recent years and now have a small sit down area. You better call early and order your favorite pie because they only make so many a night and once the orders are filled you're out of luck. That's why I hesitated to review this. My secret spot will no longer be as secret.

Just on a whim, drove around, saw this place and ordered a pizza pie. It is one of the better places in the area for pizza. Crust was thin and crispy, plenty of cheese and right amount of sauce, Closest thing to real NY style pizza.

Sometimes the food takes a while to arrive, but that's only because they're understaffed. The food itself is always delicious!

Pizza Hut advertised a special on TV, but when we went to the one in Shamokin PA, they didn't carry the special. The only beer they had was Bud and Bud Light (not a favorite). The server seemed not to care about anything. And the place smelled of old cigarettes, even though smoking is not allowed there anymore. We never went back.

I admit, the name is confusing, you think all pizza has hot cheese, but in this case "hot" means "spicy". So, essentially it's the regular pizza, topped with spicy cheese instead of plain. Also, be sure to ask for hot sauce with your pizza, it makes a great topping to add a little extra heat.James' is located in a residential area of Shamokin. There are two entrances, one at the front & one around the side. The front door takes you to the bar area where you can sit at the bar & order, the other takes you to the restaurant section. The place is cash-only & there are really no close ATMs, so come prepared with cash.The beer selection is limited, just a few domestic taps, with more domestic bottles in the cooler. You won't find any craft beer here.The price is ridiculously inexpensive, I ordered a pie & 4 beers on my last trip & my bill was less than $20.

We stopped in for lunch and it was a good choice.The restaurant is interesting in design...looking somewhat Roman with floor mosaics, columns, etc. Everything, including the restrooms were quite clean.The staff was friendly and efficient. Orders were taken quickly, and the food arrived quickly.The food was quite good...everyone commented on how good the food was.The prices were reasonable.We will be back.

Pizza was pretty good for white pizza, and the service was friendly. We did take out, and they were quick for us considering we walked in off the street and ordered.

If there's no line then you should definitely go here! We waited about 45 minutes after placing our order (after a long wait in the line) to get two pizzas. The pizza was good for amusement park pizza but not really worth the hour we spent waiting for the food. There are so many great food options at Knoebels that spending an hour didn't make this a great option.
