Sono andato con mia moglie in occasione del mio compleanno (peccato non avere i tre figli a seguito, ma recupereremo in futuro....), abbiamo conosciuto i fratelli Paolo e Michele (+ gentile consorte), sicuramente "originali" ed "accoglienti". Abbiamo mangiato come piace a noi, cioè bene, abbondante ad un prezzo corretto. Sofisti state lontani, per gli altri provatelo!!! Stefano Varese

Non è la prima volta che veniamo in questo locale che nella sua semplicità non delude mai. Ieri ci siamo stati per una merenda - cena sulla bella terrazza esterna, vero punto di forza nella stagione estiva, ed è stata davvero una serata piacevole.Siamo partiti con degli ottimi salumi, tutti di qualità notevole ma con un lardo strepitoso e con dei buoni formaggi nostrani. Due parole in più merita la pizza che non è un orrendo panetto surgelato in fabbrica ma viene impastata, lievitata e cotta come si deve: il risultato è un prodotto leggero e gustoso, con la crosta che rimane morbida ed elastica come dovrebbe essere nelle pizze âserieâ che, purtroppo, in Ossola si trovano raramente.I dolci fatti in casa sono davvero golosi e buoni così come la genziana finale offerta da Andrea, padrone di casa molto gentile e competente. Alla prossima, noi ci torneremo sicuramente!

After being out walking around town for a while we were hungry and we came across this restaurant which by the look of it was pretty full.So we've decided to go in and grab a pizza.Indeed the place was packed!Which actually resulted in a very slow service and the pizza wasn't great-pretty thin,the crust dry and cracking like an old dried out dough.But the atmosphere was nice and the staff was very welcoming which is a great plus in my book:)

Locale accogliente, personale gentile e disponibile. Cibo nella norma, ho preso un'insalata mista con mozzarella, lamozzarella era quella della pizza a quadratini!! Il pollo di mia moglie era crudo!! Per la qualità l'ho trovato molto caro.

Il locale ha da poco cambiato gestione e ci sono stata un sabato sera di fine agosto con una coppia di amici e le nostre 2 bimbe. Ci siamo andati su consiglio di un'altra coppia che la sera prima era rimasta entusiasta sia della pizza, che del menu' irlandese della serata, composto da un ottimo stinco e della buona birra. La ns serata non prevedeva menù a tema quindi, spinti dalla voglia di pizza, abbiamo deciso tutti di provarla. La pizza è molto buona, sottile, ben cotta e farcita. Una delle migliori della valle. E ne hanno di parecchie varietà . Cotta nel forno a legna da una pizzaiola! Le mie bimbe hanno preso invece il menù bimbi che prevedeva le tagliatelle al ragù (buone ed abbondanti). Ottimi i dolci fatti in casa, soprattutto il tiramisù ma anche la crostata. I prezzi sono buoni (15/18 euro a testa per pizza, birra e dolce) ed il locale è molto semplice ma pulito. I ragazzi in sala cortesi e celeri. Sicuramente torneremo anche perché vorrei provare la fonduta di formaggio con pere e patate (su ordinazione)

My wife and I stopped in this restaurant to have lunch while visiting Santa Marie Maggiore, while on holiday. Very nice place. Good food, good service, and reasonably priced. We shared a carafe of white wine, I had a pizza, and my wife had the risotto. The pizza was right out of the oven and my wife indicated that the risotto was top rate. We would happily stop here again for a meal!We thank for the beautiful critique

This restaurant is a bastion of local cuisine. It specialises in typical mountain dishes such as, tagliatelle ai funghi porcini (pasta with mushrooms). The service was nice and gave good advice, pasta came quickly and was really good. The price was very convenient, and we loved the typical look and feel of the place.

Hearty meals, maybe too much. Invited by friends I had lunch at this restaurant a couple of weeks ago. I hate having to leave the food in my plate, but there was no options. All in all, the quality is decent, friendly service, the environment a little 'too chaotic, but I am not surprised by this. Not worth the trip, for sure, but if you are in this area, it can be a good choice. Good prices!

Having stopped off for a pizza for lunch, we were so impressed that we returned some days later for dinner. Apart from excellent pizza, they have an array of local delicacies. We tried the wild boar stew as well as the venison. We both agreed it was excellently prepared and served.The indoor area is cosy with a Swiss feel while the outdoor area can be cool in inclement weather. But you can't fault the service or the food at inexpensive prices
